Tutkin hybridisyyttä, identiteettiä ja rasismia Chimamanda Ngozi Adichien kolmannessa romaanissa Americanah (2013). Hybridisyyttä on tutkittu postkoloniaalisen kirjallisuudentutkimukseen kuuluvana, mutta se taipuu toisen kulttuurin omaksumisen tutkimiseen muissakin tilanteissa, esimerkiksi maahanmuutossa ja pakolaisuudessa. Identiteetti kuvaa ihmisen syvintä ja ominta olemusta. Puhutaan myös hybridisestä identiteetistä, kun ihminen omaksuu kahden tai useamman kulttuurin toimintatapoja. Americanah käsittelee rasismia erityisesti Yhdysvalloissa, sillä rotusyrjintä on osa amerikkalaista kulttuuria.

En el caso de las reinas son en la mayoría de las ocasiones una forma de alabanza para rendir pleitesía a la figura del monarca, ya sea, reinante, como en este caso, oel heredero de la corona. The yield of essential oils in plants is not high and postdistillation wastes rich in phenolic compounds could be used to enhance the profitability of essential oil-bearing plants. The aim of the study was to evaluate polyphenols in a dry extract obtained from the postdistillation waste of the American basil (Ocimum americanum L.) herb, and to conduct the screening of its pharmacological activities. Rosmarinic acid, caffeic acid and rutin were identified in the extract using high-performance thin-layer chromatography. The dehumanization of whiteness in Maxine Hong Kingston’s The Woman Warrior (1976) inheres in the overarching ghosthood metaphor. While first generation Chinese American immigrants in The Woman Warrior attribute the power of transforming people into ghosts to the United States of America as a country, the questioning of a person’s humanity by calling them a “ghost” is not reserved for white people alone. Chinese American immigrants also run the risk of losing their humanity and becoming ghosts if they renounce their relatives and their heritage. The diversity of people, cultures and social situations in Latin America countries does not obstruct the critical and honest dialogue concerning the research carried out on the learning of world problems. Geography, as a science, can contribute to this challenge, but it needs, then, to leave the intellectual, corporate and academic obstacles that prevent its study by the pupils. In this work we communicate the initiatives developed by a group of teachers by means of the Geoforo, which takes advantage of the facilities of the cyberspace, from the Geocrítica portal of the University of Barcelona.
