Determining the selective impregnation of waterlogged archaeological woods with poly(ethylene) glycols mixtures by differential scanning calorimetry
2012
The differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) technique was demonstrated to be a reliable and fast tool for the investigation of the selective impregnation of archaeological woods with poly(ethylene) glycols (PEGs) mixtures. To this aim, waterlogged archaeological woods were impregnated by using aqueous mixtures of PEG 4000 and PEG 400 as well as mixtures of these polymers in the melt state. The efficiency of the treatments was also estimated by determining the total consolidant content entrapped into the cavities of degraded wood by means of DSC and thermogravimetry.

Synthesis of Natural Products By Rhodium-Mediated Intramolecular C-H Insertion
1998
The strategic advantages of the Rh-mediated intramolecular C–H insertion, which has been used as the key step in several natural product syntheses, are described here. The most recent such synthesis is the elegant route to (+)-morphine shown below.
Chemistry of glycopeptides
1999
For a long time, peptides and proteins on the one hand and carbohydrates on the other have been considered separate classes of natural products. The rather strict distinction between these major fields of natural product chemistry is still apparent not only in the organisation of chemistry text books but also in the different approaches to immunological and cell biological recognition phenomena.
Oxygen isotope analysis of human bone phosphate evidences weaning age in archaeological populations
2015
Here we report bone phosphate oxygen (δ(18)Op) values from perinates/neonates and infants ( 50 years), have δ(18)Op values consistent with the consumption of local modern drinking water. The implications of this study for the reconstruction of weaning practices in archaeological populations are discussed, including variations observed with bone δ(15)Ncoll and δ(18)Op co-analysis and the influence of culturally-modified drinking water and seasonality. The use of this method to explore human mobility and palaeoclimatic conditions are also discussed with reference to the data presented.

TYPO-CHRONOLOGIE DES CÉRAMIQUES DU GROUPE RHIN-SUISSE-France -ORIENTALE (R.S.F.O.) DANS LA RÉGION DIJONNAISE :
2009
The archaeological site of the Pré-du-Plancher is located to the east of Dijon (Burgundy, Côte-d’Or), at the footof a limestone hill in the Basmont valley. This site, dated from the late Bronze Age, is the first to include a stratigraphicalsequence for this period in Burgundy. The settlement comprises of three buildings and several dumps containing potteryfinds. The study of the pottery as well as the site’s stratigraphy clearly identifies three chronological periods dating from Late Bronze Age IIb to Late Bronze age IIIa (French chronology) or Hallstatt A2 / B1 (German/Swiss chronology). Culturally, the site belongs to the Rhin-Suisse-France-Orientale group, the first phase showing influen…
