El proyecto de un pórtico clasicista para la iglesia de los Santos Juanes de Valencia y su impacto en el entorno urbano (1788-1856)

In the year 1788, the parish of Los Santos Juanes in Valencia proposed to the City Council the erection of same classical-style portico in order to beautify its outer eastern façade, surrounding the head of the temple and relying on the Plaza del Mercado. This portico was never built, but there would be an impact of such an architectural purpose in subsequent reform plans of that outstanding urban location.

This study proposes the reuse of spent coffee ground and biomass fly ash in the development of green geopolymeric thermo-plastering for innovative building applications. The former waste is the major residue of the brewing process, that is usually used as fertilisers or disposed of in landfill with extreme harmfulness for the natural environment. The latter is an industrial waste generated during the Kraft paper-pulp process, that is usually landfilled. The mortar is produced with a combination of metakaolin (30 wt.%) and biomass fly ash (70 wt.%), and natural siliceous sand filled with spent coffee ground (up to 17.5 wt.%). Pirms Industriālās revolūcijas reklāma bija fenomens, kas izplatījās vietējā mērogā, taču mūsdienās reklāmdevēji uzskata, ka ir „jādomā globāli, bet jārīkojas lokāli”. Paralēli sarunām, kas noris starp globālas un lokālas reklāmas piekritējiem, reklāmdevējiem ir jāatrod veidi, kā patērētājiem pārdot produktus, un viens no veidiem ir transkreācija. The study of moral judgements often centres on moral dilemmas in which options consistent with deontological perspectives (that is, emphasizing rules, individual rights and duties) are in conflict with options consistent with utilitarian judgements (that is, following the greater good based on consequences). Greene et al. (2009) showed that psychological and situational factors (for example, the intent of the agent or the presence of physical contact between the agent and the victim) can play an important role in moral dilemma judgements (for example, the trolley problem). Ocena mikrobiologiczna niepasteryzowanych soków owocowych i warzywnych

Celem pracy była ocena parametrów fizykochemicznych oraz mikrobiologicznych niepasteryzowanych soków owocowych i warzywnych podczas próby przechowalniczej. Analizie poddano takie parametry fizykochemiczne, jak: pH, kwasowość ogólną, gęstość względną oraz zawartość ekstraktu. W badaniach mikrobiologicznych określono ilość mikroorganizmów oraz przeprowadzono ocenę jakościową badanych soków. Przetrzymywanie otwartych soków przez jedną godzinę w temperaturze pokojowej nie wpłynęło istotnie na zmianę parametrów fizykochemicznych. Hieracium umbrosum subsp. abietinum (Asteraceae), a further example of amphi-Adriatic disjunction

So far considered as endemic to Greece, Hieracium umbrosum subsp. abietinum is reported as new for the Italian flora. Its presence has been noted on the Pollino National Park (S Italy). Morphological, ecological and taxonomical notes are given. This discovery increases the list of taxa showing an amphi-Adriatic distribution.
