This thesis examines the mechanisms subtending the perception of emotional facial expressions and their early development using a Fast Periodic Visual Presentation (FPVS) approach coupled with electroencephalography (EEG). Abstract Aims To investigate the prevalence of periodontitis in a young population representative for the North-western part of Romania (Transylvania) and to identify possible risk indicators of periodontitis. Methods The study is a cross-sectional epidemiological survey. The subjects were students randomly sampled from three universities in Cluj-Napoca and high school students from the neighboring city of Bistrita. The sample size of the population was calculated. The essay starts as a reflection about the changes of the transition to adulthood in contemporary life, it is a presentation focusing on the issue of identity construction in relation to the structural variables that condition the lifestyle of the young adult and their relationship with the family of origin. The adult’s task is a generative task aimed to increase and develop the next generation; therefore, we speak about a task that delineates itself as essentially educational. However, the discussion allows to see an education requirement/emergency that is not only young people but also adults; there is a priority to educate the adult society to take and rewrite their generative role.
