Maģistra darbā apskatītas ES un Kazahstānas divpusējās attiecības, uzsverot attiecību virzitājmotīvus un veicinošos apstākļus. Darba autore secina, ka sadarbība ar ES Kazahstānai ir kā iespēja paaugstināt tās ekonomisko modernizāciju un palielināt tās politisko leģitimitāti pasaules politikā, kas ļoti labi atbilst Kazahstānas daudzvirzienu politiskajam diskursam. Pētījuma rezultāti liecina, ka šī partnerība ir nozīmīga, tā kā ES saglabā vienlaicīgi pozitīvu virzienu uz Kazahstānu, neatkarīgi no tā, ka valsts turpina lēni virzīties uz ES vērtību sasniegšanu. Reproducibility of grading systems in oral epithelial dysplasia

Objective: To assess inter and intra observer variability in grading oral epithelial dysplasia (OED) using Smith and Pindborg grading system, WHO classification system and Brothwell DJ et al. classification system. Study design: In the study 45 histological tissues of dysplasia, 15 each of mild, moderate and severe dysplasia were coded and blindly graded by three observers in three grading systems. Further on the same observers graded 15 slides again of the previous 45 for analyzing the reproducibility in the three grading systems. Celem artykułu jest analiza problemu funkcjonowania instytucji zapewniających ochronę zewnętrznych granic Unii Europejskiej pod kątem zagwarantowania bezpieczeństwa jej państwom w kontekście współczesnych wyzwań. Unia Europejska jest miejscem, w którym swoboda obywateli wyrażona jest poprzez możliwość przemieszania się, podróżowania, pracy,nauki lub życia w wybranym kraju UE. Realizacja tej wolności była wynikiem zniesienia kontroli na granicach wewnętrznych Unii. Jednak dla członka UE ceną tej wolności jest konieczność zapewnienia bezpieczeństwa narodowego, co sprawia, że ochronę granic zewnętrznych postrzega się jako specjalne zadanie. Unia Europejska, za pośrednictwem układu z Schengen, tworzy instytucje w zakresie ochrony granic zewnętrznych, w zakresie zapewnienia bezpieczeństwa narodowego państw członkowskich. The impact of systemic and illiquidity risk on financing with risky collateral

Abstract Repurchase agreements (repos) are one of the most important sources of funding liquidity for many financial investors and intermediaries. In a repo, some assets are given by a borrower as collateral in exchange of funding. The capital given to the borrower is the market value of the collateral, reduced by an amount termed as haircut (or margin). The haircut protects the capital lender from loss of value of the collateral contingent on the borrower׳s default. For this reason, the haircut is typically calculated with a simple Value at Risk estimation of the collateral for the purpose of preventing the risk associated to volatility.
