Diatom species composition and indices for determining the ecological status of coastal Mediterranean Spanish lakes

Diatom indices have been used and tested mainly for assessing the ecological status of rivers and deep lakes, but there are scarce studies that determine their effectiveness in shallow lakes and in coastal Mediterranean lakes. This study evaluates the validity of several common diatom indices (SPI, BDI, CEC and TDIL) for the determination of the ecological quality of three coastal lakes (Valencia, Spain) and presents descriptions and ecological data of the main diatom species recorded. El trabajo recogido tanto en los resultados como en las conclusiones de la presente tesis está encaminado a esclarecer el comportamiento de algunos de los microcontaminantes orgánicos incluidos en la Directiva 2000/60/CE bajo diversas condiciones de trabajo en estaciones depuradoras de aguas residuales. Para ello se ha estudiado un grupo de microcontaminantes cuya presencia en el medio ambiente, bien sea en la fracción soluble de las aguas continentales o bioacumulados en sedimentos y/o biota, es frecuente. Activity against Microorganisms Affecting Cellulosic Objects of the Volatile Constituents of Leonotis nepetaefolia from Nicaragua

The chemical composition of the essential oil from aerial parts of L. nepetaefolia (L.) R. Br. collected in Nicaragua was evaluated by GC and GC-MS. The main components were ( Z)-phytol (22.8%), caryophyllene oxide (18.9%) and hexahydrofarnesylacetone (9.0%). The antibacterial activity against several Gram + and Gram - bacteria, including Bacillus cereus and B. subtilis, both infesting historical cellulosic material, was also determined. B. cereus, B. subtilis and Staphylococcus epidermis were the most affected by the action of the oil.

Este trabajo pretende estudiar el papel de la lengua italiana en la mojiganga "Los niños de la rollona y lo que pasa en las calles". Primero, se fija su fecha de composición y su autoría, ya que hasta hoy se ha atribuido la pieza a un Simón Aguado homónimo del verdadero autor, fechando por tanto erróneamente la mojiganga. En segundo lugar, se rastrean los orígenes, las funciones y los objetivos del italiano propuesto por el dramaturgo desde el punto de vista fonético, morfológico, léxico y sintáctico para ver hasta qué punto Aguado traduce, imita, reelabora o parodia este idioma.
