Quantization on the Virasoro group

The quantization of the Virasoro group is carried out by means of a previously established group approach to quantization. We explicitly work out the two-cocycles on the Virasoro group as a preliminary step. In our scheme the carrier space for all the Virasoro representations is made out of polarized functions on the group manifold. It is proved that this space does not contain null vector states, even forc≦1, although it is not irreducible. The full reduction is achieved in a striaghtforward way by just taking a well defined invariant subspace ℋ(c, h), the orbit of the enveloping algebra through the vacuum, which is irreducible for any value ofc andh. On the Directly and Subdirectly Irreducible Many-Sorted Algebras

AbstractA theorem of single-sorted universal algebra asserts that every finite algebra can be represented as a product of a finite family of finite directly irreducible algebras. In this article, we show that the many-sorted counterpart of the above theorem is also true, but under the condition of requiring, in the definition of directly reducible many-sorted algebra, that the supports of the factors should be included in the support of the many-sorted algebra. Moreover, we show that the theorem of Birkhoff, according to which every single-sorted algebra is isomorphic to a subdirect product of subdirectly irreducible algebras, is also true in the field of many-sorted algebras.
Extended-order algebras as a generalization of posets

Motivated by the recent study of several researchers on extended-order algebras, introduced by C. Guido and P. Toto as a possible common framework for the majority of algebraic structures used in many-valued mathematics, the paper focuses on the properties of homomorphisms of the new structures, considering extended-order algebras as a generalization of partially ordered sets. The manuscript also introduces the notion of extended-relation algebra providing a new framework for developing the theory of rough sets.

Kac-Moody group representations and generalization of the Sugawara construction of the Virasoro algebra

We discuss the dynamical structure of the semidirect product of the Virasoro and affine Kac-Moody groups within the framework of a group quantization formalism. This formalism provides a realization of the Virasoro algebra acting on Kac-Moody Fock states which generalizes the Sugawara construction. We also give an explicit construction of the standard Kac-Moody group representations associated with strings on SU(2) and recover, in particular, the ‘renormalization’ β factor of L(z)
An algebraic representation of Steiner triple systems of order 13

Abstract In this paper we construct an incidence structure isomorphic to a Steiner triple system of order 13 by defining a set B of twentysix vectors in the 13-dimensional vector space V = GF ( 5 ) 13 , with the property that there exist precisely thirteen 6-subsets of B whose elements sum up to zero in V , which can also be characterized as the intersections of B with thirteen linear hyperplanes of V .

Let X be a compact manifold with boundary. It will be shown (Theorem 3.4) that the small Melrose algebra A≔ ϕb,cl (χ,bΩ1/2) (cf. [22], [23]) of classical, totally characteristic pseudodifferential operators carries no topology such that it is a topological algebra with an open group of invertible elements, in particular, the algebra A cannot be spectrally invariant in any C* – algebra. Hom-Lie quadratic and Pinczon Algebras

ABSTRACTPresenting the structure equation of a hom-Lie algebra 𝔤, as the vanishing of the self commutator of a coderivation of some associative comultiplication, we define up to homotopy hom-Lie algebras, which yields the general hom-Lie algebra cohomology with value in a module. If the hom-Lie algebra is quadratic, using the Pinczon bracket on skew symmetric multilinear forms on 𝔤, we express this theory in the space of forms. If the hom-Lie algebra is symmetric, it is possible to associate to each module a quadratic hom-Lie algebra and describe the cohomology with value in the module.
