Ķīmisko elemenu uzkrāšanās sējas kaņepēs (Cannabis sativa L.) dzelzsceļam pieguļošajās teritorijās Vecumnieku pagastā

2022

Analysis of Phenolic Compounds in Commercial

2019

Industrial hemp (Cannabis sativa L. Family Cannabaceae) contains a vast number of bioactive relevant compounds, namely polyphenols including flavonoids, phenolic acids, phenol amides, and lignanamides, well known for their therapeutic properties. Nowadays, many polyphenols-containing products made of herbal extracts are marketed, claiming to exert health-promoting effects. In this context, industrial hemp inflorescence may represent an innovative source of bioactive compounds to be used in nutraceutical formulations. The aim of this work was to provide a comprehensive analysis of the polyphenolic fraction contained in polar extracts of four different commercial cultivars (Kompoti, Tiborszal…

Les traduccions catalanes de Teodor Llorente: gènesi i model lingüístic

2013

α-Mannosyl-Functionalized Cationic Nanohydrogel Particles for Targeted Gene Knockdown in Immunosuppressive Macrophages

2019

Immunosuppressive M2 macrophages govern the immunophathogenic micromilieu in many severe diseases including cancer or fibrosis, thus, their re-polarization through RNA interference is a promising concept to support combinatorial therapies. For targeted siRNA delivery, however, safe and stable carriers are required that manage cell specific transport to M2 macrophages. Here, siRNA-loaded cationic nanogels are reported with α-mannosyl decorated surfaces that target and modify M2 macrophages selectively. Via amphiphilic precursor block copolymers bearing one single α-mannosyl moiety at their chain end mannosylated cationic nanohydrogel particles (ManNP) were obtained of 20 nm diameter determin…

Anti-Proliferative Activity of A Hydrophilic Extract of Manna from Fraxinus angustifolia Vahl through Mitochondrial Pathway-Mediated Apoptosis and Ce…

2020

Manna is produced from the spontaneous solidification of the sap of some Fraxinus species, and, owing its content in mannitol, is used in medicine as a mild laxative. Manna is also a rich source of characteristic bio-phenols with reducing, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. This study assesses the activity of a hydrophilic extract of manna (HME) on cellular and molecular events in human colon-rectal cancer cells. HME showed a time- and concentration-dependent anti-proliferative activity, measured by MTT assay, in all the cell lines examined, namely Caco-2, HCT-116 and HT-29. The amounts of HME that caused 50% of cell death after a 24 h treatment were 8.51 &plusmn

S126. THE RELATION OF THE PSYCHOSIS CONTINUUM WITH SCHIZOPHRENIA POLYGENIC RISK SCORE AND CANNABIS USE

2020

Abstract Background There has been much debate about whether research into psychosis should be conducted using symptom dimensions as opposed to diagnostic categories. Indeed, dimensions, like categories, may be practical but arbitrary tools for research and clinical practice; hence, they should not be based on psychometric data only. The aim of this study was to externally validate empirically derived symptom dimensions using combined genetic and environmental data. Specifically, we examined the hypothesis that the continuous multivariate distribution of psychosis is a function of cannabis use and genetic liability to schizophrenia, as summarised by polygenic risk score (SZ-PRS). Methods As…
