Diplomdarba mērķis ir izpētīt kā galda spēļu izmantošana var attīstīt skolēnu runāšanas prasmes. Šādas tēmas izvēli pamato autores saskaršanās ar problēmu – skolēniem ir grūti izmantot angļu valodu saziņai angļu valodas stundās. Galda spēļu izmantošana tiek minēta kā nozīmīga runāšanas prasmju uzlabošanā, tādēļ tā tika izmantota autores angļu valodas stundās 4.klases skolēniem. Izmantotā pētījuma metode ir gadījuma pētījums kādas Rīgas sākumskolas 4.klasē. Pētījuma gaitā tika izmantotas tādas datu vākšanas metodes kā aptaujas anketas, esošo zināšanu pārbaude un zināšanu pārbaude pēc metodes pielietošanas. Resumen:El interés por el estudio del bienestar psicológico (Ryff, 1989) y su relación con las estrategias de afrontamiento se ha producido también en el ámbito deportivo. En esta investigación, se evalúan la ansiedad competitiva, el bienestar psicológico y las estrategias de afrontamiento utilizadas en la competición por 213 deportistas, de cuatro deportes diferentes. Los resultados permiten predecir, a través de los análisis de regresión, la posibilidad de experimentar ansiedad y bienestar psicológico en el contexto competitivo, regulado por el papel mediador de las estrategias de afrontamiento dirigidas a la tarea. The main objective of this study was to investigate the association between final-year students’ anxiety level and quality of life (QOL) with their academic achievements. A longitudinal study was performed in regular schools and in high-rated gymnasiums at the beginning and at the end of the school year. Multiple linear regression models were built for the association between level of anxiety/QOL with academic achievements. The aim of the study was to assess associations between dimensions of mental skills, psychological readiness and predictors of career longevity among current athletes. Mental skills dimensions were measured with the Ottawa Mental Skills Assessment Tool (OMSAT).
