A new species S. deformata, that occurs in six locations of marine sand dunes along the eastern Mediterranean coast of Spain is described and illustrated from spores. In the field, the species occurred in the rhizosphere of Ammophila arenaria (Poaceae), Elymus farctus (Poaceae), Otanthus maritimus (Asteraceae), and Echinophora spinosa (Apiaceae). Morphological characters related with outer, middle and inner wall of the glomerospores as well as phylogenetic analysis (partial SSU, ITS1-5.8S region and the partial LSU nrDNA) support the hypothesis that the fungus is a new species of the Scutellosporaceae.

Smiltāja neļķe (Dianthus arenarius) ir Latvijā reti sastopama, aizsargājama vaskulāro augu suga. Tās pasuga Dianthus arenariu subsp. arenarius ir aizsargājama visā Eiropas Savienības (ES) līmenī. Lai būtu iespējams mainīt esošo situāciju, nepieciešams iegūt vairāk datu par sugas izplatību ietekmējošajiem faktoriem, kā arī noskaidrot iespējamās smiltāja neļķu augšanas vietas, ar mērķi precizēt sugas populācijas lielumu. Chimney endografting for pararenal aortic pathologies using transfemoral access and the lift technique

Purpose: To present a technique for transfemoral implantation of parallel grafts into the renal arteries in patients with anatomy or morphology that blocks standard antegrade chimney graft delivery. Technique: In a totally percutaneous approach, a 5-F pigtail angiographic catheter is passed into the aorta above the renal arteries via a 0.035-inch hydrophilic guidewire, followed by an 8-F sheath. The target vessel is cannulated with the hydrophilic wire followed by a 5-F reverse curve catheter; the wire is changed for a Rosen wire. Notes on wintering waders in the coastal humid zones of province of Trapani (Sicily). The coastal wetlands of Trapani still are of great national importance for migratory and wintering waders despite the dramatic reduction occurred in the last hundred years. During this research the author carried out surveys in coastal wetlands from Trapani to Mazara del Vallo, in order to estimate qualitative and accurate quantitative values of wintering waders. The census includes four winters, from 2012-13 to 2015-16 and was carried out in the months of December and January.
