Abstract The debate surrounding the value of disclosed and non-disclosed information as a competitive element has stalled; it has not been possible to make a universal, precise claim as to their potential to generate competitive advantages. This empirical inconsistency can be explained in part by the heterogeneity of information assets, which can give rise to different information dimensions, each offering different potential for generating results depending on the degree to which they meet the conditions of complementarity and co-specialization with other resources. Translation history constitutes a huge field of research where methods, theories, research questions and topics vary widely. One important question here is who we write history to (who is our addressee) and what kind of an impact the perceived audience has on the ways of writing history. Meson–meson and meson–baryon interactions in a chiral non-perturbative approach

A qualitative account of the meson-meson and meson-baryon interactions using chiral Lagrangians and the inverse amplitude method in coupled channels is done. The method, imposing exact unitarity, proves to be a very useful tool to extend the information contained in the chiral Lagrangians at energies beyond the realm of applicability of chiral perturbation theory. Weak chord-arc curves and double-dome quasisymmetric spheres

Let $\Omega$ be a planar Jordan domain and $\alpha>0$. We consider double-dome-like surfaces $\Sigma(\Omega,t^{\alpha})$ over $\overline{\Omega}$ where the height of the surface over any point $x\in\overline{\Omega}$ equals $\text{dist}(x,\partial\Omega)^{\alpha}$. We identify the necessary and sufficient conditions in terms of $\Omega$ and $\alpha$ so that these surfaces are quasisymmetric to $\mathbb{S}^2$ and we show that $\Sigma(\Omega,t^{\alpha})$ is quasisymmetric to the unit sphere $\mathbb{S}^2$ if and only if it is linearly locally connected and Ahlfors $2$-regular.
Rescaling principle for isolated essential singularities of quasiregular mappings

We establish a rescaling theorem for isolated essential singularities of quasiregular mappings. As a consequence we show that the class of closed manifolds receiving a quasiregular mapping from a punctured unit ball with an essential singularity at the origin is exactly the class of closed quasiregularly elliptic manifolds, that is, closed manifolds receiving a non-constant quasiregular mapping from a Euclidean space.
Unitary transformations depending on a small parameter

We formulate a unitary perturbation theory for quantum mechanics inspired by the LieDeprit formulation of canonical transformations. The original Hamiltonian is converted into a solvable one by a transformation obtained through a Magnus expansion. This ensures unitarity at every order in a small parameter. A comparison with the standard perturbation theory is provided. We work out the scheme up to order ten with some simple examples.

This paper considers the problem of intrusion detection in information systems as a classification problem. In particular the case of masquerader is treated. This kind of intrusion is one of the more difficult to discover because it may attack already open user sessions. Abstract Suppressor of fused, Su(fu), was identified as a semi-dominant suppressor of the putative serine/threonine kinase encoded by the segment polarity gene fused in Drosophila melanogaster. The amorphic Su(fu) mutation is viable, shows a maternal effect and displays no phenotype by itself. Su(fu) mutations are often found associated to karmoisin (kar) mutations but two complementation groups can be clearly identified. By using a differential hybridization screening method, we have cloned the Su(fu) region and identified chromosomal rearrangements associated with Su(fu) mutations.
