Die römische Fundstelle Oedenburg (Biesheim-Kunheim, Haut-Rhin, France) wird seit 1998 von einem international Team ausgegraben (Ecole pratique des hautes études, Paris, Universität Freiburg im Breisgau, Deutschland, Universität Basel, Schweiz). Gegenüber dem keltischen Oppidum von Breisach, nahe am heutigen Rhein gelegen, war die Siedlung in einer deutlich anderen Landschaft angelegt worden, die damals von verschiedenen Flussarmen durchzogen war. The authorities have quickly developed a keen interest in television. The army, in particular, used it in order to build and promote its image in Spanish society. In spite of, the army doesn’t succeed to finish with its traditional isolation, neither to put to stop to its bad reputation. Indeed, the Spanish television emphasized the melodramatic dimension and the menacing presence of the army. The television shots of the attempted to coup d’état of February 23rd 1981 enabled that media to break with its propagandist function and to put a stop to the illusion according to which the past had been forgotten forever.
Ethics in military organisations : implementation in the battlefield and lessons for management sciences

This research questions the idea of military ethics. Our work uses an analytical framework combining three different disciplines: Ethics of care, developed in moral philosophy, Stakeholder theory, from business ethics, New institutionalism theory, from management science. This framework is then applied on two different research fields: the first one deals with the study of battles where ethical stakes were particularly high: the battle of Alger, the Iraqi war, the Srebrenica battle.The second one is qualitative interviews with officers coming back from the battlefield: 10 US officers from the Iraqi conflict and 7 French militaries from Afghanistan. Due to a militarised society between 1804 and 1915, the weight of the warlords was heavy in the foundation and maintenance of the Haitian constitutional order. Their mission as guardians is apparent since the Constitution of 1801, and the military was not content to monopolise the supreme magistracy until the US occupation in 1915. Institutional practice, however, leaves much to be desired. La représentation d’Électre à Łódź en 1946 montre la découverte par les réalisateurs polonais de la riche matière de la pièce. Elle reflète de grandes émotions aussi bien que l’enthousiasme des artistes engagés dans la création de la Scène Poétique du Théâtre de l’Armée Polonaise. Elle dévoile aussi des querelles autour de la scène finale qui, d’un côté, ont confirmé la portée de la pièce, de l’autre, ont mis au jour un climat de tension au sein de la société polonaise d’après-guerre.

The 8th Augustan Legion was installed at Mirebeau-sur-Bèze (Côte-d'Or) after 70 AD following the troubles that arose with the Lingons. It remained there until the time of Domitian, a period of roughly twenty years, during which time the soldiers produced tiles stamped with the name of the legion. Analysis of the dispersion of the tiles in the region around Mirebeau shows that they followed the communication routes. Consideration of the contexts in which these tiles were used, their number on each site and the resources necessary to manufacture them reveals that the 8th Legion may have played a significant role in the diffusion and adoption of tiled roofs, a construction technique that was t…
