Communication Health Check : Measuring Corporate Communication Performance

A Communication Health Check, based on an existing tool for measuring communication quality, was customized for Finnish companies and supporting software was developed to create an online tool. A pilot measurement procedure was performed in a medium-sized company based in the country’s capital, Helsinki. The aim was to see if the tool would be useful in the Finnish context, and whether a benchmarking function or further customization would be preferred. The tool was considered easy to use by the respondents and its main function was considered to be enabling organizational learning. peerReviewed

Sydänkuntoutujien näkemyksiä minäpystyvyydestä

Minäpystyvyys on Albert Banduran kehittämä käsite, joka on osa sosio-kognitiivista teoriaa. Tämä pro gradu -tutkielma tutkielma on osa Jyväskylän yliopiston, Kelan sekä Kuntoutus Peurungan yhteistä tutkimushanketta (2015-2019). Tässä tutkimuksessa on tarkoitus selvittää, millaisia näkemyksiä sydänkuntoutujilla on minäpystyvyydestä etäkuntoutuksen alussa. Tutkimuksen aineistona oli seitsemän ryhmähaastattelua, tutkittavina oli yhteensä 65 sydänkuntoutujaa. Aineistona oli 396 min haastattelua, joista kertyi 283 A4 sivua litteroitua tekstiä. To maintain synchrony in the presence of expressive tempo variations, musicians presumably anticipate the sounds that will be produced by their co-performers and coordinate their own anticipated actions with these predictions. The effect of singing the melody in the practice of the piano

The aim of this study was to test a hypothesis that if learners created more precise auditory representation from singing a melody, they could learn piano playing to reach at a higher level of performance. Seven novice piano players of varied ages learned to play novel musical pieces with and without singing their melodies. The time period of practice sessions for learning each melody with and without singing conditions was equalized. After all practice sessions, their performances were recorded to MD. Leadership Styles and the Moral Choice of Internal Auditors

Internal auditors’ performance largely depends on their moral decisions when faced with ethical dilemmas. This study explores the impacts of different leadership styles on internal auditors’ moral choice using ERG theory and Path-goal theory. The findings of the survey demonstrated support for both theories. Regression analysis revealed that a sample of West Australian internal auditors were motivated by growth needs and the motivation was enhanced if the leader took a Standard-achievement-oriented approach. This article analyses Social Media (SM) use as a promotion tool for public institutions in the public audit sector. The authors propose a quantitative model to assess online engagement of 94 European audit institutions (national and regional) with their stakeholders, based on SM and web activity metrics of these institutions, with a focus on pressing matters such as environment, sustainability and the current COVID pandemic.
