What hampers green product innovation: the effect of experience

Based on representative firm-level survey data for Austria, Germany, and Switzerland, this study systematically analyzes the relevance and drivers of barriers to green product innovation using the example of green energy technologies. “Low willingness to pay”, “high development costs”, “high commercial uncertainty”, and “lack of favorable political framework” are identified as the most important barriers. Por ello, deben revalorarse los factores que garantizarán la calidad en este nuevo tipo de oferta educativa. En este estudio se muestran los resultados obtenidos de un análisis de caso de educación mixta (blended learning) para educación superior, y se enlistan los factores de éxito resultantes, así como algunas barreras para la adecuada implantación.

International audience; The objective of this work was to better display the effect of electron beam accelerator doses (0, 20, 40 and 60 kGy) on structural, mechanical and barrier properties of edible lightly plasticized chitosan-fish gelatin blend film. From Electron Spin Resonance (ESR), signal at 3500 G for blend film was identified as free radical formation during irradiation, which might introduce intermolecular cross-linking into the polymer matrix, thus affecting structural properties. Impact of electron beam irradiation on fish gelatin film properties

International audience; The objective of this work was to display the effect of electron beam accelerator doses on properties of plasticized fish gelatin film. Electron spin resonance indicates free radical formation during irradiation, which might induce intermolecular cross-linking. Tensile strength for gelatin film significantly increases after irradiation (improved by 30% for 60 kGy). The vapour permeability is weakly affected by irradiation. Surface tension and its polar component increase significantly and are in accordance with the increase of wettability. Relevance of trade facilitation in emerging countries exports

The objective of this article is to analyse trade flows in emerging nations with a maritime boundary, where trade facilitation plays a decisive role in their international development. In order to detect possible patterns in performance, we apply the economic approach of gravity models using the World Bank Logistic Performance Index (LPI) as a good proxy of trade facilitation. The results of the estimation lead to the conclusion that the more complex the transportation of goods is, the more influential the logistics indicator, trade facilitation being most prominent in Middle East exporters.

Barrier properties of chitosan coated polyethylene

The transfer properties of chitosan coated polyethylene (PE) films were studied. The barrier properties of non coated PE were not affected by relative humidity changes. The presence of the hydrophilic chitosan layer acted as a water reservoir on the polyethylene film surface which significantly promoted its sensitivity to the water vapour. The water vapour permeability increased 1.85 times at a higher RH. Coated PE films showed more than two-order decrease in the oxygen permeability (PO2) and three-order-decrease in the carbon dioxide permeability (PCO2).
