Construcción de una tipología rural/urbana para los municipios españoles

[ES] Este artículo pretende establecer criterios para delimitar de modo riguroso qué es lo que constituye un territorio rural o urbano, dadas las limitaciones de las metodologías tradicionales. En segundo lugar, se propone una tipología rural/urbana a escala municipal para España tomando en consideración tres criterios: la demografía —combinando densidades con umbrales mínimos de población— la información sobre coberturas y usos del suelo y el grado de accesibilidad desde el mundo rural a las ciudades. El resultado es el establecimiento de seis tipos distintos de municipios.

This paper examines the policy approaches and measures that developed market economies countries have adopted to “manage” what has become known as the Dahrendorf Quandary, a profound challenge facing globalizing economies: over time, staying economically competitive requires either adopting measures detrimental to the cohesion of society or restricting civil liberties and political participation. As already mentioned, the basic idea of pip-spaces is that vectors should not be considered individually, but only in terms of the subspaces V r (r Є F), the building blocks of the structure. Correspondingly, an operator on a pipspace should be defined in terms of assaying subspaces only, with the proviso that only continuous or bounded operators are allowed. Thus an operator is a coherent collection of continuous operators. Hilbert Space Embeddings for Gelfand–Shilov and Pilipović Spaces

We consider quasi-Banach spaces that lie between a Gelfand–Shilov space, or more generally, Pilipovi´c space, \(\mathcal{H}\), and its dual, \(\mathcal{H}^\prime\) . We prove that for such quasi-Banach space \(\mathcal{B}\), there are convenient Hilbert spaces, \(\mathcal{H}_{k}, k=1,2\), with normalized Hermite functions as orthonormal bases and such that \(\mathcal{B}\) lies between \(\mathcal{H}_1\; \mathrm{and}\;\mathcal{H}_2\), and the latter spaces lie between \(\mathcal{H}\; \mathrm{and}\;\mathcal{H}^\prime\).

Sex pheromones are not always attractive: changes induced by learning and illness in mice

A male-specific major urinary protein named darcin is attractive to female mice, Mus musculus, stimulates a learned attraction to volatile components of a male's urinary odour and induces spatial learning. In this article we show that darcin also induces learned attraction for a previously neutral olfactory stimulus (the odorant isoamyl acetate), acquired by repeated presentation of both stimuli together. We hypothesize that this is a case of olfactory–vomeronasal associative learning, in which darcin acts as the unconditioned reinforcer. Weak commutation relations of unbounded operators and applications

Four possible definitions of the commutation relation $[S,T]=\Id$ of two closable unbounded operators $S,T$ are compared. The {\em weak} sense of this commutator is given in terms of the inner product of the Hilbert space $\H$ where the operators act. Some consequences on the existence of eigenvectors of two number-like operators are derived and the partial O*-algebra generated by $S,T$ is studied. Some applications are also considered.
