Il diritto all’unità familiare e il superiore interesse del minore prevalgono sulle ragioni dell’espulsione (ordine pubblico e sicurezza) sulla base …
2020
The essay focuses on the recent case on the condition of migrants' minor children in the hypothesis of repatriation orders issued against one of their parents. In particular, the Author analysis the hard balancing of contrasting values, which Court have to provide for, between public order and the rights to family unity (collective) and best interest of the child (individual). The cases commented are both from ECHR and Italian Corte di Cassazione.
STATO DI EMERGENZA, LIBERTÀ FONDAMENTALI E DIRITTO ALLA BI-GENITORIALITÀ NELLE FAMIGLIE IN CRISI AI TEMPI DEL COVID-19
2020
2021
In this paper, through the study of some terms present in the novel Fortunata y Jacinta by Galdós that refer to the medical and pharmaceutical field, we want to carry out a reflection on some ‘best practices’ that the translator can use in his rewriting work, considered as the result of a cognitive operation, a complex intrigue of acquisition, categorization, reflective observation, elaboration, experimentation and creation of emotional-motivational dynamics which has, as its ultimate product, the recreation of the metatext. These 'best practices' fall to all intents and purposes in the topics to be treated within a teaching of translation with a neurolinguistic slant. In quest’articolo, at…
A simulation function approach for best proximity point and variational inequality problems
2017
We study sufficient conditions for existence of solutions to the global optimization problem min(x is an element of A) d(x, fx), where A, B are nonempty subsets of a metric space (X, d) and f : A -> B belongs to the class of proximal simulative contraction mappings. Our results unify, improve and generalize various comparable results in the existing literature on this topic. As an application of the obtained theorems, we give some solvability theorems of a variational inequality problem.

La raza como problema filosófico en los escritos de Nietzsche
2020
The article aims to elucidate the role played by “race” in Nietzsche's writings. Nietzsche’s concept of “race” is analyzed and interpreted together with his lexicon of the transformation of the human being and his critique of culture. The concept of “race” is studied together with other adjacent concepts and similar ideas such as the treatment of the Jewish question, his criticism of nationalism, the figure of good Europeans, the metaphor of the blond beast, the human types and the thought of breeding. It is concluded that “race” has an unquestionable physiological and evolutionary character, but through the process of incorporation (Einverleibung), culture and morals intervene in a fundame…
Bestsellereiden arvot
2011
Tutkimukseni käsittelee arvoja bestsellereissä: millaisia arvoja bestsellereissä on, onko eri teoksissa samankaltaisia arvoja vai poikkeavatko teosten arvot huomattavasti toisistaan. Tarkastelen arvoja kolmessa vuonna 2008-2009 Euroopassa bestsellerlistoille nousseessa teoksessa: Khaled Hosseinin kirjassa A Thousand Splendid Suns (2007), Stieg Larssonin teoksessa Män som hatar kvinnor (2005), sekä Carlos Ruiz Zafónin romaanissa El Juego del Ángel (2008). Tutkimuksessa yhdistyvät sosiologinen kirjallisuudentutkimus, temaattinen tutkimus ja kirjallisuussosiologia. Tarkastelen näitä kirjoja erityisesti bestsellereinä, eli käsittelen bestsellereitä omana kirjallisena kenttänään. Teoksista esiin…
Consumer Preference Heterogeneity Evaluation in Fruit and Vegetable Purchasing Decisions Using the Best–Worst Approach
2019
This study assesses consumer preferences during fruit and vegetable (FV) sales, considering the sociodemographic variables of individuals together with their choice of point of purchase. A choice experiment was conducted in two metropolitan areas in Northwest Italy. A total of 1170 consumers were interviewed at different FV purchase points (mass retail chains and open-air markets) using a paper questionnaire. The relative importance assigned by consumers to 12 fruit and vegetable product attributes, including both intrinsic and extrinsic quality cues, was assessed by using the best&ndash
Binge eating and obesity
2018
Despite there being several pathways leading to obesity [1], there is evidence that binge eating may be an important contributor to its development [2]. Excessive food consumption without compensation increases the risk for the development of obesity, which in turn is associated with numerous complications [3]. Obesity has been found to develop several years after the onset of binge eating, and individuals who were overweight prior to the onset of binge eating tend to gain even more weight during adulthood [4]. Binge eating is defined as eating a larger amount of food than normal during a short period of time (within any 2‐hour period) and, during this time, experiencing a loss of control o…
Influence of bacterial physiology on processing of selenite, biogenesis of nanomaterials and their thermodynamic stability
2019
We explored how Ochrobactrum sp. MPV1 can convert up to 2.5 mM selenite within 120 h, surviving the challenge posed by high oxyanion concentrations. The data show that thiol-based biotic chemical reaction(s) occur upon bacterial exposure to low selenite concentrations, whereas enzymatic systems account for oxyanion removal when 2 mM oxyanion is exceeded. The selenite bioprocessing produces selenium nanomaterials, whose size and morphology depend on the bacterial physiology. Selenium nanoparticles were always produced by MPV1 cells, featuring an average diameter ranging between 90 and 140 nm, which we conclude constitutes the thermodynamic stability range for these nanostructures. Alternativ…
