Heat shock proteins (HSPs) were first discovered in Drosophila by Ritossa in 1962. As stress proteins, HSPs are induced in response to a wide variety of physiological and environmental insults. HSPs have a cyto-protective function and act as molecular chaperones by assisting the folding of nascent or misfolded proteins and by preventing their aggregation. Mammalian HSPs have been classified into 5 families according to their molecular weight: HSP110, HSP90, HSP70, HSP60 and the family of small HSPs such as HSP27 (Kampinga et al., 2009). Oenococcus oeni is the main bacterium responsible of malolactic fermentation in wine. This lactic acid bacteria grow in the stressful wine environment (high ethanol content, sulfites, low pH and low temperatures….). Computer vision and machine learning can be used to automate various tasks in cancer diagnostic and detection. If an attacker can manipulate the automated processing, the results can be devastating and in the worst case lead to wrong diagnosis and treatment. In this research, the goal is to demonstrate the use of one-pixel attacks in a real-life scenario with a real pathology dataset, TUPAC16, which consists of digitized whole-slide images. We attack against the IBM CODAIT's MAX breast cancer detector using adversarial images. International audience; Fatty acid desaturases are metabolic setscrews. To study their systemic impact on growth in Drosophila melanogaster, we inhibited fatty acid desaturases using the inhibitor CAY10566. As expected, the amount of desaturated lipids is reduced in larvae fed with CAY10566. These animals cease feeding soon after hatching, and their growth is strongly attenuated. A starvation program is not launched, but the expression of distinct metabolic genes is activated, possibly to mobilize storage material. Age-related changes in delta 6 and delta 5 desaturase activities in rat liver microsomes.

Age-related changes in Δ6 desaturation of [1-14C]α-linolenic acid and [1-14C]linoleic acid and in Δ5 desaturation of [2-14C]dihomo-γ-linolenic acid were studied in liver microsomes from Wistar male rats at various ages ranging from 1.5 to 24 mon. Desaturase activities were expressed both as specific activity of liver microsomes and as the capacity of whole liver to desaturate by taking into account the total amount of liver microsomal protein. Δ6 Desaturation of α-linolenic acid increased from 1.5 to 3 mon and then decreased linearly up to 24 mon to reach the same desaturation capacity of liver measured at 1.5 mon.
