Introduction: Tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC) is a neurocutaneous syndrome produced by a number of genetic mutations. The disease is characterized by the development of benign tumors affecting different body systems. The most common oral manifestations of TSC are fibromas, gingival hyperplasia and enamel hypoplasia. Clinical Case: A 35-year-old woman diagnosed with TSC presented with a reactive fibroma of considerable size and rapid growth in the region of the right lower third molar. Abstract Acquired thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (aTTP) is a rare but life-threatening condition. In 2018, the nanobody caplacizumab was approved for the treatment of adults experiencing an acute episode of aTTP, in conjunction with plasma exchange (PEX) and immunosuppression for a minimum of 30 days after stopping daily PEX. We performed a retrospective, observational analysis on the use of caplacizumab in 60 patients from 29 medical centers in Germany during acute disease management. Efficacy and safety of dapsone as second line therapy for adult immune thrombocytopenia: A retrospective study of 42 patients.

Dapsone is recommended as a second line therapy in immune thrombocytopenia (ITP), but is underused because of its potential side effects. The medical charts of 42 ITP patients treated with dapsone (100 mg/day) were retrospectively reviewed in order to assess its efficacy and safety in daily clinical practice. The overall response rate was 54.8% (n = 22, with a complete response in 38.1%) with a median time to response of 29 days (24-41 days). The preparation of a series of dibenzo- and tetrabenzo-fused fluoreno[3,2-b]fluorenes is disclosed, and the diradicaloid properties of these molecules are compared with those of a similar, previously reported series of anthracene-based diradicaloids. Insights on the diradical mode of delocalization tuning by constitutional isomerism of the external naphthalenes has been explored by means of the physical approach (dissection of the electronic properties in terms of electronic repulsion and transfer integral) of diradicals.
