Abstract The most prominent type of artifact contaminating electroencephalogram (EEG) signals are the eye blink (EB) artifacts, which could potentially lead to misinterpretation of the EEG signal. Online identification and elimination of eye blink artifacts are crucial in applications such a Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCI), neurofeedback, and epilepsy diagnosis. The measurement of the activation time is crucial to allow the correct automatic analysis and classification of intracardiac electrograms recorded in the human atria during atrial fibrillation (AF). This study proposes a method which accounts for the morphology of bipolar signals. A workflow was developed to fabricate the novel abutment using additive manufacturing. PURPOSE: To protect the patient with acute respiratory distress syndrome from ventilator associated lung injury (VALI) high-frequency oscillatory ventilation (HFOV) is used. Clinical experience has proven that HFOV is an efficient therapy when conventional artificial ventilation is insufficient. Imaging of LED-excited autofluorescence photobleaching rates for skin diagnostics

The aim of this study is to develop a novel non-invasive approach for skin cancer (melanoma, basal cell and squamous cell carcinomas) diagnostics by mapping the AF intensity decrease (photo-bleaching) rates under continuous 405 nm LED excitation. For parametric mapping of skin AF intensity decrease rates a sequence of filtered AF imaging under 405 nm LED excitation for 20 seconds at a power density of ~7 mW/cm2 with a frame rate 0.5 fps was recorded and analyzed by cloud-based prototype device. Several clinical cases and potential future applications of the proposed autofluorescence photobleaching rate imaging technique are discussed.

Multicellular tumor spheroids (MCTS) are routinely employed as three-dimensional in vitro models to study tumor biology. Cultivation of MCTS in spinner flasks provides better growing conditions, especially with regard to the availability of nutrients and oxygen, when compared with microtiter plates. Se analiza el crecimiento de la producción de los diferentes tipos de documentos sobre la disciplina, así como las materias, instituciones de procedencia y distribución geográfica . Los resultados muestran la gran dispersión de los trabajos sobre el tema y el predominio de los estudios dedicados a la documentación clínica, producidos en instituciones hospitalarias.
Innovative strategies to treat skin wounds with mangiferin: fabrication of transferosomes modified with glycols and mucin

Aim: The moisturizing properties of glycerol, the penetration enhancing capability of propylene glycol and the bioadhesive properties of mucin were combined to improve the carrier capabilities of transfersomes and the efficacy of mangiferin in the treatment of skin lesions. Materials & methods: Mangiferin was incorporated in transfersomes and glycoltransfersomes, which were also modified with mucin.
