Sex and race stereotypes in images of textbooks in primary physical education

El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar las imágenes que aparecen en los libros de texto de Educación Física en el tercer ciclo de Educación Primaria y comprobar si los estereotipos con respecto al género y la raza han sido eliminados en sus contenidos. Se realiza un estudio descriptivo que utiliza el análisis de contenido como técnica central de la investigación. La muestra está formada por 997 imágenes, pertenecientes a cinco editoriales diferentes (Anaya, Inde, Paidotribo, Bruño y Serbal) que han publicado sus libros de texto a partir de la actual Ley de Educación 2/2006. Esta investigación tiene como objetivo diseñar una herramienta, a partir de dos sistemas de categorías validados previamente, que pudiera analizar las imágenes impresas en los libros de texto de Educación Física (EF) en la etapa de Educación Primaria. Para ello se desarrolló SAIMEF (Sistema de Análisis de Imágenes en Educación Física), una aplicación php diseñada ad hoc, que facilita el acceso al sistema y minimiza los errores de análisis. L'importanza degli inventari per lo studio della vita musicale a Palermo è stata riconosciuta soltanto di recente. Nonostante la natura frammentaria dei dati, questi documenti forniscono informazioni di rilievo sulle edizioni musicali, sugli strumenti, sulla cultura materiale che li produceva, nonché sulla circolazione della musica. Considerata la mancanza di testimoni musicali siciliani tra Cinque e Settecento, tale importanza appare ancor più evidente. Błogosławiony Grzegorz Chomyszyn był ukraińskim greckokatolickim biskupem i męczennikiem. Urodził się 25 marca 1867 r. w wiosce Hadyńkowce, we wschodniej Galicji. W 1904 r. został wyświęcony na biskupa Stanisławowa. Chomyszyn uważał, że Cerkiew greckokatolicka powinna przyjąć więcej tradycji zachodnich, aby podkreślić związek unickiej Cerkwi z Rzymem. Oznaczało to wprowadzenie łacińskich praktyk takich jak kalendarz gregoriański i ścisłe przestrzegania celibatu duchownych.

The present study aims to compare the similarities and differences of Finnish and Korean high school English textbooks and analyze them from the perspective of Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) on which English textbooks of both countries are theoretically based. By analyzing 20 picture books that include both a textual narrative and pictures, three types of referent introduction were identified: introduction of referents by use of an indefinite noun phrase; introduction of referents by use of a definite noun phrase or a proper name; introduction of referents by use of a deictic construction. This shows that children are confronted with different strategies of referent introduction from early on. It is argued that the results of studies on the acquisition of the system of reference introduction could possibly be interpreted differently if one takes into account how the experience with literary texts influences children’s own narratives.
