Many zoophilous plants attract their pollinators by offering nectar as a reward. In gynodioecious plants (i.e. populations are composed of female and hermaphrodite individuals) nectar production has been repeatedly reported to be larger in hermaphrodite compared to female flowers even though nectar production across the different floral phases in dichogamous plants (i.e. plants with time separation of pollen dispersal and stigma receptivity) has rarely been examined. High Wage Workers Match with High Wage Firms: Clear Evidence of the Effects of Limited Mobility Bias

Positive assortative matching implies that high productivity workers and firms match together. However, there is almost no evidence of a positive correlation between the worker and firm contributions in two-way fixed-effects wage equations. This could be the result of a bias caused by standard estimation error. Using German social security records we show that the effect of this bias is substantial in samples with limited inter-firm movement. The correlation between worker and firm contributions to wage equations is unambiguously positive.

I have been very much impressed by the clarity, pragmatism and good medical judgement of the article by Camilo Porta,1 a respected and dedicated ESMO faculty member and friend, giving his personal perspective on real issues many oncologists working in a public system are eventually facing during the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic. I understand Professor Porta is voicing what many oncologists from countries deeply affected by the pandemic, such as Italy or Spain, may think. On Cancer Cell Cycle and Universal Apoptosis Parameters Signaling Unravelled In Silico

Here, cell cycle in higher eukaryotes and their molecular networks signals both in G1/S and G2/M transitions are in silico replicated. Systems control theory is employed to design multi-nestled digital layers to simulate protein-to- protein activation and inhibition in the cancer cell cycle dynamics in presence of damaged genome. Abstract Introduction KRAS mutations are detected in 20% to 30% of NSCLC. However, KRAS mutation subtypes may differently influence the outcome of patients with advanced NSCLC. Methods In the Biomarkers France study, 4894 KRAS mutations (26.2%) were detected in 4634 patients from the 17,664 enrolled patients with NSCLC. Survival and treatment data on noncurative stage III to IV NSCLC were available for 901 patients. First- and second-line treatment effects on progression-free survival and overall survival were analyzed according to the KRAS mutations subtype. Sub-Finsler Horofunction Boundaries of the Heisenberg Group

We give a complete analytic and geometric description of the horofunction boundary for polygonal sub-Finsler metrics---that is, those that arise as asymptotic cones of word metrics---on the Heisenberg group. We develop theory for the more general case of horofunction boundaries in homogeneous groups by connecting horofunctions to Pansu derivatives of the distance function.

Flexible periodic points

We define the notion of ${\it\varepsilon}$-flexible periodic point: it is a periodic point with stable index equal to two whose dynamics restricted to the stable direction admits ${\it\varepsilon}$-perturbations both to a homothety and a saddle having an eigenvalue equal to one. We show that an ${\it\varepsilon}$-perturbation to an ${\it\varepsilon}$-flexible point allows us to change it to a stable index one periodic point whose (one-dimensional) stable manifold is an arbitrarily chosen $C^{1}$-curve. We also show that the existence of flexible points is a general phenomenon among systems with a robustly non-hyperbolic two-dimensional center-stable bundle.
