Nucleon dissociation and incoherent J/ψ photoproduction on nuclei in ion ultraperipheral collisions at the CERN Large Hadron Collider

Using the general notion of cross section fluctuations in hadron-nucleus scattering at high energies, we derive an expression for the cross section of incoherent J / ψ photoproduction on heavy nuclei d σ γ A → J / ψ Y / d t , which includes both elastic d σ γ p → J / ψ p / d t and proton-dissociation d σ γ p → J / ψ Y / d t photoproduction on target nucleons. We find that, with good accuracy, d σ γ A → J / ψ Y / d t can be expressed as a product of the sum of the d σ γ p → J / ψ p / d t and d σ γ p → J / ψ Y / d t cross sections, which have been measured at HERA, and the common nuclear shadowing factor, which is calculated using the leading twist nuclear shadowing model. Motorisen oppimisen vaikeudella, kuten kehityksellisellä koordinaatiohäiriöllä (DCD), tarkoitetaan huomattavaa vaikeutta oppia uusia motorisia taitoja ja soveltaa jo opittuja taitoja uusiin tilanteisiin. Tämän tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli kehittää opettajien käyttöön havainnointityökalu, joka auttaa tunnistamaan motorisen oppimisen vaikeuden esi- ja alkuopetusikäisillä lapsilla. Lisäksi tutkimus selvitti, miten opettajat voivat kouluympäristössä tukea lapsia, joilla on haasteita motorisessa oppimisessa. Tutkimus muodostui neljästä osatutkimuksesta. Un nuovo derivato policiclico glicosilato è stato ottenuto partendo dal derivato policiclico iodurato, utilizzando la reazione di Sonogashira.Il composto glicosilato saggiato presso l’NCI è risultato attivo su tutte le 60 linee cellulari tumorali del panel, risultando più attivo degli altri composti policiclici precedentemente saggiati. Il composto induce l’arresto del ciclo cellulare in fase G2/M nella linea cellulare MDA-MB231, fa diminuire i livelli di ciclina B1e Cdc-2 mentre produce un aumento dell’inibitore p21WAF1, una chinasi ciclino-dipendente.

CD and uv absorption data showed that high molecular weight poly(dA-dT) poly(dA-dT), at 298 K, undergoes an acid-induced transition from B-double helix to random coil in NaCl solutions of different concentrations, ranging from 0.005 to 0.600M. Similarly, titration of the polynucleotide with a strong base causes duplex-to-single strands transition. The base- and acid-induced transitions were both reversible by back-titration (with an acid or, respectively, with a base): the apparent pKa were the same in both directions. Hyaluronic acid (HA) forms pericellular coats in many cell types that are involved in the early stages of cell adhesion by interacting with the CD44 receptor. Based on the largely recognized overexpression of the CD44 receptor in tumor tissues, a polybenzofulvene molecular brush has been enveloped into hyaluronan shells to obtain a tri-component polymer brush (TCPB) composed of intrinsically fluorescent backbones bearing nona(ethylene glycol) arms terminated with low molecular weight HA macromolecules. 2016. gada maijā norisinājās automatizētas braukšanas sacensības GCDC 2016, kurās piedalījās arī Elektronikas un datorzinātņu institūts sadarbojoties ar Latvijas Universitāti. Priekš šīm sacensībām tika gatavota automašīna, kurā, lai tā varētu noteikt savu atrašanās vietu, bija nepieciešams implementēt precīzu pozicionēšanas iekārtu. Darba mērķis ir iepazīties ar GNSS darbības principiem, tai skaitā RTK-GPS, integrēt RTK-GPS iekārtu pašbraucošās automašīnas sistēmā, pārbaudīt tās atbilstību sacensību izvirzītajām prasībām, kā arī salīdzināt šo iekārtu ar citām RTK pozicionēšanas iekārtām. Background Raised blood pressure is an important risk factor for cardiovascular diseases and chronic kidney disease. We estimated worldwide trends in mean systolic and mean diastolic blood pressure, and the prevalence of, and number of people with, raised blood pressure, defined as systolic blood pressure of 140 mm Hg or higher or diastolic blood pressure of 90 mm Hg or higher. Este método de monitorización detecta cambios fisiopatológicos que conllevan las lesiones neurotraumáticas.
