Questionnaires and simulations to assess daylighting in Italian university classrooms for IEQ and energy issues

Abstract Results from the DAYKE-Italy project are presented. An investigation on daylighting in eight classrooms in five Italian universities was carried out through a combined approach: an ad-hoc survey administered to students to investigate how they perceive daylight in classroom, and numerical simulations (DIVA + ALFA) to calculate a set of objective metrics (daylight, circadian, and energy-related). A sample of 542 questionnaires was collected through two sessions and the subjective judgments were correlated to objective metrics. This study investigates children’s social and moral practices as they appear in everyday classroom peer interaction. Its focus is on the relations between children’s interaction and moral understandings in situ. Juxtaposing the most archetypal ways of addressing and investigating morality in mainstream educational psychology, this study approaches morality is as it handled and man- aged as part of everyday intersubjective interaction. The article deals with interactional processes in video conferences that took place as part of an international training and further education event for DaF-teachers. The focus is on showing how the teachers request feedback from each other in relation to the topics to be discussed and in what form they receive it. Furthermore, the role of moderation should also be examined. The aim of the study is to reveal interaction patterns that characterize the behavior of teachers in the context of digital education in order to promote a professional feedback culture when dealing with lesson observation.

The project considers the Flipped Classroom methodology as a strategy that help to personalize learning. Firstly, higher education context will be considered.
