Continuous-flow tristimulus colorimetry: a new approach for gradient scanning techniques

Abstract A flow-injection gradient scanning technique for colour evaluation by means of tristimulus colorimetry is described. Equipment and data acquisition requirements are discussed. The program CHROMA.FIA data the treatment and comparative chromatic analysis is presented. The chemical and flow conditions were optimized. Comparative studies using metallochromic indicators with both the flow-injection and the conventional batch procedures were made. The continuous-flow procedure provides good results and is more than fifteen times faster than the manual titrimetric procedure.

Augmented reality is used to improve color segmentation on human body or on precious no touch artifacts. We propose a technique to project a synthesized texture on real object without contact. Our technique can be used in medical or archaeological application. By projecting a suitable set of light patterns onto the surface of a 3D real object and by capturing images with a camera, a large number of correspondences can be found and the 3D points can be reconstructed. Purpose: Available applications for vision testing in mobile devices usually do not include detailed setup instructions, sacrificing rigor to obtain portability and ease of use. In particular, colorimetric characterization processes are generally obviated. We show that different mobile devices differ also in colorimetric profile and that those differences limit the range of applications for which they are most adequate. This paper describes a non-invasive, automatic, and robust method for calibrating a scalable RGB-D sensor network based on retroreflective ArUco markers and the iterative closest point (ICP) scheme. We demonstrate the system by calibrating a sensor network comprised of six sensor nodes positioned in a relatively large industrial robot cell with an approximate size of 10 m × 10 m × 4 m . Here, the automatic calibration achieved an average Euclidean error of 3 c m at distances up to 9.45 m . A video-based real-time vehicle counting system using adaptive background method

International audience; This paper presents a video-based solution for real time vehicle detection and counting system, using a surveillance camera mounted on a relatively high place to acquire the traffic video stream.The two main methods applied in this system are: the adaptive background estimation and the Gaussian shadow elimination. The former allows a robust moving detection especially in complex scenes. The latter is based on color space HSV, which is able to deal with different size and intensity shadows. After these two operations, it obtains an image with moving vehicle extracted, and then operation counting is effected by a method called virtual detector.

Abstract Wine is one of the most important food products worldwide. However, the application of technologies to the winemaking process can improve. An RGBC optical sensor, used to measure color intensity and shade, was developed and tested in real environments. It is able to measure samples without filtering by offering the color intensity and shade of a filtered sample. Por lo tanto, es lógico pensar que las ciencias de la visión pueden ayudar en la toma de decisiones a nivel de diseño. Comprender conceptos como la agudeza visual, la sensibilidad al contraste, entre otros, contribuirá a optimizar la legibilidad del texto a través de una selección óptima de parámetros tipográficos para formatos impresos y digitales. Además, entender el efecto de las diferentes alteraciones en la visión del color mejorará la accesibilidad del diseño.
