Transmit power control has been largely proposed as a solution to improve the performance of packet radio systems in terms of increased throughput, spatial reuse and battery lifetime for mobile terminals. Dealing with viewers’ complaints: Role, visibility and transparency of PSB Ombudsmen in ten European countries

The article shows the results of a comparative analysis of the complaints management mechanisms offered by ten European Public Service Broadcasting (PSB) systems on their corporate websites. Using a qualitative methodology, it maps the procedures and evaluates the visibility, transparency and dissemination of results. The findings show, firstly, great diversity in terms of responsible election and management, despite the converging media governance. This article aims at highlighting the signs of transparency and opacity in gastronomic communication. The esthesic, aesthetic and ethical dimension will be considered through discursive and visual elements put at stake in the presentation of dishes so that their flavours as well as the sensations and emotions they produce will fully come out. It will illustrate the interactions between the creative chef and the guest who will feel sensations, each of them asserting the construction of their identity. Gastronomic semiotics will be considered as socio-semiotics, which takes into account aesthetic values of today's society and also accounts for the complexity of senses.

Transparency is seen as a panacea for a major problem facing journalism and journalists today, that is, the loss of trust and credibility. However, the scholarly literature has focused primarily on normative considerations, without providing much empirical data that could confirm what are widely assumed to be the positive effects of transparency.
