Panama and the WTO: new constitutionalism of trade policy and global tax governance

"Corrigendum" in Review of International Political Economy, 24(4), p. 738 (DOI: 10.1080/09692290.2017.1332547). Tax havens and tax flight have lately received increasing attention, while interest toward multilateral trade policies has somewhat diminished. We argue that more attention needs to be paid exactly to the interrelations between trade and tax policies. Drawing from two case studies on Panama's trade disputes, we show how World Trade Organization (WTO) rules can be used both to resist attempts to sanction secrecy structures and to promote measures against tax flight. Artykuł prezentuje wartości konstytucyjne narażone na pogwałcenie ze strony rozwiązań wykorzystujących AI. W oparciu o metodę dogmatyczno-prawną poddano analizie poglądy polskiego prawa konstytucyjnego od przemian z 1989 r. W badaniu wpływu AI na przyjęte wartości wykorzystano literaturę przedmiotu, głównie z lat 2017–2020. Celem opracowania jest identyfikacja istotnych wartości konstytucyjnych narażonych na zagrożenia wynikające z rozwoju AI. The currently available computational methods for the calculation of magnetic coupling constants with density functional theory have been reviewed. These methods include modern approximations to the exchangecorrelation functional, such as hybrid, range-separated and double-hybrid functionals, as well as approaches to treat the severe spin symmetry problems encountered in density functional calculations of magnetic interactions. The Cathedral of Saint Gerland, located on the top of the hill of Agrigento, is an important historical church, which dates back to the Arab–Norman period (XI century). Unfortunately throughout its history the Cathedral and the adjacent famous Archaeological Park of the 'Valley of the Temples' have been affected by landslides. In this area the interleaving of calcarenites, silt, sand and clay is complicated by the presence of dislocated rock blocks and cavities and by a system of fractures partly filled with clay or water. Hydro-mechanical analysis of volcanic ash slopes during rainfall

Rainfall-induced landslides in volcanic ashes represent a major natural hazard in many regions around the world. Owing to their loose structure, volcanic ash slopes are prone to rainfall-induced landslides. The paper presents a continuum modelling approach for the analysis of wetting-induced instability phenomena at the onset of failure in loose volcanic ash slopes. A numerical simulation of a landslide-prone volcanic slope in Costa Rica is carried out with a two-dimensional hydro-mechanical finite-element slope model. Modeling and improvement of the tricycle braking system for controlled skidding

In the current paper was approached the braking system of tricycles for controlled skidding, which are used by lovers of extreme sports. The complete modeling of such a tricycle has been performed and its braking system has been improved for a great performance and a better controlled braking. Also, simulation tests were performed using the finite element to achieve the best constructive variant of the brake disc.
