Summary The previous articles [5] and [6] introduced formalizations of the step-by-step operations we use to construct finite graphs by hand. That implicitly showed that any finite graph can be constructed from the trivial edgeless graph K 1 by applying a finite sequence of these basic operations. In this article that claim is proven explicitly with Mizar[4].

Modality and Injunctive in Homeric Greek: The role of epistemic particles and adverbs in counterfactual constructions

Structurally, unaugmented aorists and imperfects belong to the oldest layer of verbal forms attested in Greek, which continue the so-called Indo-European ‘injunctive’. The latter was inflectionally underspecified as regards verbal categories such as tense or mood (Hoffmann 1967; Kiparsky 1968). Thus, the question arises as to how the attitude of the speaker toward the content of his utterance was expressed. Nanoscale chemistry and atomic-scale microstructure of a bulk Ni3Sn material built using selective laser melting of elemental powder blends

Abstract Cubic specimens of the intermetallic Ni3Sn compound were built using selective laser melting of elemental powder blends. A specimen built at a laser power of 200 W and a scanning speed of 0.5 m/s was determined to have a homogeneous distribution of Ni and Sn on a mesoscopic scale in spite of a 2 at.% Sn deficiency. Characterization of the microstructure using the HAADF-STEM technique reveals a dispersion of ultrafine Ni particles, nanoscale chemical inhomogeneity and the formation of antiphase nanodomains in the matrix of equiaxed Ni3Sn grains. Questionnaires and simulations to assess daylighting in Italian university classrooms for IEQ and energy issues

Abstract Results from the DAYKE-Italy project are presented. An investigation on daylighting in eight classrooms in five Italian universities was carried out through a combined approach: an ad-hoc survey administered to students to investigate how they perceive daylight in classroom, and numerical simulations (DIVA + ALFA) to calculate a set of objective metrics (daylight, circadian, and energy-related). A sample of 542 questionnaires was collected through two sessions and the subjective judgments were correlated to objective metrics. The competition for the Palazzo di Giustizia in Rome takes place in four phases that develop between 1884 and 1887. The project of the third competition (1886-1887), drawn up by Ernesto Basile (Palermo 1857-1932), reveals a great maturity design that transforms the complex functional program into a rigorous neo-Renaissance style building. The jury recognizes the quality of the project and selects it for the final phase by invitation (1887) together with that one of Guglielmo Calderini, who will be the winner. Influence of temperature on the hydration products of low pH cements

International audience; The chemical evolution of two hydrated "low pH" binders prepared from binary (60% Portland cement + 40% silica fume) or ternary (37.5% Portland cement +32.5% silica fume + 30% fly-ash) mixtures was characterized over one year at 20 degrees C. 50 degrees C, and 80 degrees C. The main hydrates were Al-substituted C-S-H. Raising the temperature from 20 to 80 degrees C caused a lengthening and cross-linking of their silicate chains. Ettringite that formed in pastes stored at 20 degrees C was destabilized.
