Characterisation of mechanical behavior of a sub surface drilled polymer, under hertzian contact load

This research concerns the understanding of the sub-surface behaviour of a component presenting controlled heterogeneities and subjected to a Hertzian type load. The purpose is to qualify the stress field in the subsurface. Practically, defects of cylindrical shape are located where the stress field is maximal in sub surface. The contact is sized to be able to observe, by photoelasticity, the stress field and to develop a numerical model to simulate the behaviour (static and dynamic) of the friction area. International audience; This paper presents an optimal selection on the region of interest (ROI) and color spaces to extract photoplethysmography signals from facial videos. The study is carried out under two sections; ROI selection and color space selection. We compared five different ROI selection for different regions of the face. Bakalaura darbs ir uzrakstīts angļu valodā uz 25 lapaspusēm. Tas satur 9 attēlus, 1 tabulu, 21 atsauci uz literatūras avotiem. Darba uzdevums ir novērtēt, vai kontaktlēcu lietošana pozitīvi ietekmē redzes funkcijas anizometropijas ambliopijas gadījumā. Pētījumā piedalījās 16 pacienti (24 – 54 g.v.). Pēc pilnas refrakcijas korekcijas izrakstīšanas katru mēnesi 6 mēnešu laikā tika novērtēts lēcas novietojums, iespējamās lēcas ģeometrijas, redzes asuma un binokularitātes izmaiņas. Visiem pacientiem uzlabojās redzes asums (0,4 ± 0,2, decimālās vienībās), novēroja pirmās pakāpes binokularitātes pazīmes un 11 pacientiem varēja noteikt rupju stereoredzi. The ‘female preference’ hypothesis, which states that females favour males that have aggregated, has recently gained some empirical support. Low-quality, unattractive males may, however, settle near attractive males, as predicted by the ‘hotshot’ hypothesis. We tested whether black grouse Tetrao tetrix females use auditory cues to find the preferred leks, and whether males respond to vocal display emitted on leks. The types, functions, sources and effects of musicians’ bodily movements have been studied in soloists’ live and recorded performances, to a lesser extent in their practice sessions and rehearsals, and in ensemble musicians’ rehearsals. The present study explored the effects of familiarity and expertise on singers’ and pianists’ bodily movements and eye contact in ensemble rehearsals. Two established singer-pianist duos rehearsed three songs in different combinations. Quantitative and qualitative analyses were undertaken.
