In agronomic sciences, the 3D acquisition of natural scene is difficult due to the complex nature of the scenes. Our system is based on the Shape from Focus technique initially used in the microscopic domain. Aim of the present work is to contribute to the knowledge about the interaction between the flow induced by wave and the aquatic vegetation. More in details the results of preliminary tests of an experimental laboratory investigation about the response of a Posidonia Oceanica meadow to wave motion in shallow waters is reported. A wide attention was posed to the behavior of a synthetic plants with plastic material. Abstract In this work, we report the design and laboratory test of a new instrument to measure the temperature of the heat transfer fluid along the borehole exchanger (BHE) by autonomous wireless sensor. The instrument consists of a device, which inserts and extracts miniaturized wireless sensors in the borehole with a mechanical subsystem, composed by a circulating pump and two valves. Impact of industrial environments on the PC-based measurements

In the paper we present a simple and fast procedure to evaluate the impact of the electromagnetic disturbances, which can be present in the industrial locations, on the measurements performed by a generic PC-based measurement instrument. The method is conceived starting from the data obtained by subjecting the instruments to the disturbances prescribed by the IEC-61326 standard. The results show that, even under heavy disturbances, the common good practices of shielding and grounding allow a correct employment of this kind of instrumentation.

In experimental nuclear physics, HPGe segmented detectors are used to provide high energy resolution of the gamma rays. Besides, 4pi configuration is common to get a full coverage of the interaction point and detection of all the products of the collisions. In this type of experiments, the number of electronic channels can be high (>100) and also the sampling frequency of the digitizing system (>100 Msps). This results in a high data rate per channel (> 2 Gbps) and thus a high aggregated bandwidth to process. NEXT-100 experiment aims at searching the neutrinoless double-beta decay of the Xe-136 isotope using a TPC filled with a 100 kg of high-pressure gaseous xenon, with 90% isotopic enrichment. The experiment will take place at the Laboratorio Subterraneo de Canfranc (LSC), Spain. NEXT-100 uses electroluminescence (EL) technology for energy measurement with a resolution better than 1% FWHM. The gaseous xenon in the TPC additionally allows the tracks of the two beta particles to be recorded, which are expected to have a length of up to 30 cm at 10 bar pressure.
