Determinants of spatial intensity of stop locations on cruise passengers tracking data

This paper aims at analyzing the spatial intensity in the distribution of stop locations of cruise passengers during their visit at the destination through a stochastic point process modelling approach on a linear network. Data collected through the integration of GPS tracking technology and questionnaire-based survey on cruise passengers visiting the city of Palermo are used, to identify the main determinants which characterize their stop locations pattern. Il contributo, a partire da una recente pronuncia del Tribunale di Catanzaro, affronta la questione dei margini di discrezionalità della pubblica amministrazione reclutante nei procedimenti di mobilità individuale volontaria ex art. 30 d.lgs. n. 165/2001, con specifico riferimento alla fase di valutazione delle competenze professionali dei candidati. Ciò offre l’occasione per soffermarsi sulla natura dell’istituto, anche alla luce dei più recenti approdi legislativi in materia.

Tracking cruise passengers' consumption: An analysis of the relationships between onshore mobility and expenditure

This paper analyzes the relationships between the spatial behaviour and destination expenditures of cruise tourists by integrating customer surveys and GPS tracking technology. Based on data collated in 2018 and 2019 in Copenhagen, cruise passenger expenditure was modelled via logistic regression, using socio-demographic characteristics and mobility-related variables. In order to map the spatial behaviour and the key characteristics of the itinerary followed, tracking data were synthesized into meaningful mobility variables. Introduction Cyclic alveolar recruitment/derecruitment (R/D) is an important mechanism of ventilator-associated lung injury. In experimental models this process can be measured with high temporal resolution by detection of respiratory-dependent oscillations of the paO2 (ΔpaO2). A previous study showed that end-expiratory collapse can be prevented by an increased respiratory rate in saline-lavaged rabbits. El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo profundizar en el análisis de los patrones de comportamiento espacio-temporal de los visitantes en destino, una escala de trabajo insuficientemente desarrollada. La investigación aplica un enfoque multimétodo, que combina el uso de GPS con una encuesta, al conocimiento de los patrones espaciales de los cruceristas que visitan la ciudad de Valencia de manera independiente. Familiarity and visit characteristics as determinants of tourists' experience at a cruise destination

Abstract The main aim of this study was to examine the differences in the interrelationships between destination image-satisfaction-behavioural intention across cruise tourists with varying visit characteristics (length of stay and type of visit arrangement) and familiarity. The data for the study was obtained through interviews with cruise passengers visiting a major Spanish port of call. The results revealed that both familiarity (informational and behavioural) and type of visit arrangement (excursion versus independent visit) moderated the hypothesized structural relationships.
