Typification of the NameKochia saxicola(Chenopodiaceae)

The typification of the name Kochia saxicola Guss. [= Eokochia saxicola (Guss.) Freitag & G. Kadereit] (Chenopodiaceae) is here discussed, and a specimen from the Gussone collection (NAP) is designated as the lectotype. The distribution of the species is given and remarks on its IUCN conservation status are provided.
Microclimatic Alteration after Logging Affects the Growth of the Endangered Lichen Lobaria pulmonaria

Microclimatic conditions are important in determining lichen distribution at small scale, and may determine whether the species persist when the surrounding environmental conditions have drastically changed. This is the case with forest management, since a sudden variation of microclimatic conditions (increase of solar radiation, temperature, wind and a reduction of humidity) may occur after logging. In this study, the combined effect of forest logging and microclimatic conditions on the growth probabilities and growth rates of the model species Lobaria pulmonaria was assessed in mixed oak stands. Background: Patients with oral lichen planus (OLP) have an increased risk of oral cancer. For this reason, OLP is classified as an oral potentially malignant disorder. However, the precise personal (or individual) risk is unknown. Recent meta-analytical studies have reported that dysplastic OLP may transform to cancer in around 6% of cases, while the rate of transformation is lower (<1.5%) in non-dysplastic cases. The presence of epithelial dysplasia has emerged as the most powerful indicator for assessing cancer risk in oral potentially malignant disorders in routine practice. An equilibrium point regularization for the Chen system

This paper addresses the control of the chaotic Chen system via a feedback technique. We first present a nonlinear feedback controller which drives the trajectories of the Chen system to a given point for any initial conditions. Then, we design a linear feedback controller which still assures the global stability of the Chen system. We moreover achieve the tracking of a reference signal. Numerical simulations are provided to show the effectiveness of the developed controllers.

Do chwili, kiedy zaistniał kryzys migracyjny istniało bowiem przekonanie, że Unia Europejska stworzyła instytucjonalne warunki dla skutecznego zapewnienia bezpieczeństwa swoich granic.
