ChemInform Abstract: Asymmetric Synthesis of Fluorinated Amino Macrolactones Through Ring-Closing Metathesis.
2008
The synthesis of new chiral fluorinated amino and azamacrolactones of types 1 and 2 is described. A ring-closing metathesis (RCM) reaction constitutes the key step in this methodology, which uses fluorinated amino alcohols 7 as starting materials. The influence of the CF2 group, which is located in the alpha-position relative to the carbon bearing the amino group, on the efficiency of the RCM reaction is noteworthy. This method allows for the preparation of the desired fluorinated macrolactones in excellent yields.
ChemInform Abstract: An Approach to 2,4-Substituted Pyrazolo[1,5-a]pyridines and Pyrazolo[1,5-a]azepines by Ring-Closing Metathesis.

Derivative Disclosure Practices in the Annual Financial Reporting of Large European Banks: A Cross-country Empirical Study
2018
The topic of this paper is derivative reporting in banking. The authors employ content analysis to conduct an empirical study on a sample of large European banks. The research aims to assess the qualitative and quantitative profiles of derivative disclosure in banking institutions. The paper provides evidences that banks differ in their derivative reporting, even though they are subject to similar regulatory requirements and accounting standards. The paper also shows that there is room to improve various aspects of derivatives disclosure in banking.
Computer vision-based approach for rite decryption in old societies
2015
International audience; This paper presents an approach to determine the spatial arrangement of bones of horses in an excavation site and perform the 3D reconstruction of the scene. The relative 3D positioning of the bones was computed exploiting the information in images acquired at different levels, and used to relocate provided 3D models of the bones. A novel semi-supervised approach was proposed to generate dense point clouds of the bones from sparse features. The point clouds were later matched with the given models using Iterative Closest Point (ICP).
Comparison of the intestinal microbiome of italian patients with multiple sclerosis and their household relatives
2021
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic immune-mediated disease of the central nervous system, caused by a combination of genetic and environmental factors. In recent years, a role in MS pathogenesis was assigned to the gut microbiota. However, different signatures of gut dysbiosis have been shown to depend on environmental factors, like diet and lifestyle. In this study, we compared the gut microbiome in MS patients and their household healthy relatives sharing lifestyle and environmental factors. Faecal metagenomic DNA was extracted and the V3–V4 regions of the conserved bacterial 16S ribosomal RNA gene were amplified and sequenced. While overall bacterial communities were similar, specific …
