Slight variations in components ratio affect odor pleasantness of a blending mixture

International audience; Odors rely mainly on the perception of odorants mixtures but are commonly perceived as single undivided entities; nevertheless, the processes involved remain poorly explored. It has been reported that perceptual blending, based on configural olfactory processing, can lead odorant mixtures to give rise to an emergent odor quality not present in the components. Mathematics Competence Level: The Contribution of Non-symbolic and Spatial Magnitude Comparison Skills.

Magnitude comparison skills have been related to mathematics competence, although results in this area vary. The current study aimed to describe the performance of 75 children (aged 4-5 years) in two comparison tasks; and examine the strength of the relationship between each of the two tasks and mathematics competence level (MCL). Participants were assessed with the Early Numeracy Test which provides a global MCL score. Magnitude comparison skills were assessed with two tasks: a non-symbolic number comparison task and a spatial comparison task. El profesorado de la Universidad de La Rioja: ¿resistente al burnout?

El cansancio emocional, la despersonalización y la falta de realización personal son los tres rasgos característicos del burnout o Síndrome de Quemarse por el Trabajo (SQT), un síndrome conceptualizado como una respuesta emocional ante el estrés laboral crónico. El objetivo principal de esta investigación fue conocer la prevalencia del SQT en la Universidad de La Rioja. Il s’appuie sur une étude empirique réalisée auprès de jeunes chargés de TD/TP de l’université de Bourgogne.
