[ES] El artículo se refiere al levantamiento topográfico y la reconstrucción en 3D de un puente-acueducto romano situado inmediatamente al sur de Hierápolis, en Frigia (suroeste de Turquía), a lo largo del antiguo camino dirigido a Colosas, en el interior de Anatolia. Actualmente sólo se conservan su pilar sur y escasos restos del pilar norte. Se encuentra en una situación muy difícil, en el interior de un valle estrecho y profundo, y nunca se ha estudiado antes. Human conglutinin-like protein inhibits infection by the human immunodeficiency virus-1 in vitro.

In summary the lectin-like protein analogous to bovine conglutinin was purified from human serum. Using a lectin-based ELISA system, it was demonstrated that conglutinin-like protein binds to human immunodeficiency virus-1 (HIV1) glycoprotein 120 (gp 120) via its carbohydrate binding site. In vitro experiments with T-lymphoblastoid CEM cells revealed that conglutinin-like protein abolishes infection by HIV1; a 50 % cytoprotective concentration of 23.9 μg/ml was measured.

Secreted proteophosphoglycan of Leishmania mexicana amastigotes activates complement by triggering the mannan binding lectin pathway.

Cutaneous lesions induced by infection of mice with the protozoan parasite, Leishmania mexicana, contain abundant amounts of a high molecular mass proteophosphoglycan (PPG), which is secreted by the amastigote stage residing in phagolysosomes of macrophages and can then be released into the tissue upon rupture of the infected cells. Amastigote PPG forms sausage-shaped but soluble particles and belongs to a novel class of serine-rich proteins that are extensively O-glycosylated by phosphooligosaccharides capped by mannooligosaccharides. Cette étude évalue la discrimination dans l’accès à l’emploi dans trois professions présentes à la fois dans le secteur privé et dans la Fonction Publique. Deux dimensions sont examinées : l’effet de la réputation du lieu de résidence et l’effet de l’origine maghrébine. Elle est réalisée sur données expérimentales de testing réalisé dans trois professions en tension pour lesquelles la discrimination devrait a priori être très réduite : les responsables administratifs de catégorie A, les techniciens de maintenance de catégorie B et les aides soignantes de catégorie C. Isolation and expression of a novel MBL-like collectin cDNA enhanced by LPS injection in the body wall of the ascidian Ciona intestinalis

Collectins are a family of calcium-dependent lectins that are characterized by their collagen-like domains. Considerable interest has been focused on this class of proteins because of their ability to interact with components of the complement system activating a cascade of events responsible for the activation of the innate immune system. A differential screening between LPS-challenged and naïve Ciona intestinalis has been performed allowing the isolation of a full length cDNA encoding for a 221 AA protein. Differential expression of the murine mannose-binding lectins A and C in lymphoid and nonlymphoid organs and tissues.

Abstract Mannose-binding lectin (MBL), a member of the collectin family, binds to carbohydrate structures on the surfaces of micro-organisms and may serve as a recognition molecule of the lectin pathway of complement activation. In rodents two forms, MBL-A and MBL-C, were described and shown to be products of two related, but uncoupled, genes. The liver is the main source of MBL biosynthesis. For rat MBL-A, expression has also been described in the kidney. Here we report that the two forms of murine MBL are differentially expressed in a number of nonhepatic tissues. [EN] Metric and graphic documentation of archaeological cultural heritage requires effective solutions for archiving, visualization, analysis, management, and monitoring of different monuments and sites. This paper presents the geomatic workflow undertaken on a singular rock art site, Coves de la Saltadora. The cave is part of the Rock Art of the Mediterranean Basin on the Iberian Peninsula declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO in1998. The different steps are reviewed, starting from the data acquisition until the final delivery of part of the metric outputs such as 3D models, photorealistic models, orthophoto mosaics in two levels, general and detail.
