Corruption in international business: A review and research agenda

Abstract We systematically reviewed the literature on corruption in international business (137 articles) for the last 17 years between 1992 and 2019. Additionally, we identified seven research streams in this growing literature: (1) the legislation against corruption, (2) the determinants of corruption, (3) combating corruption, 4) the effect of corruption on firms, (5) the political environment and corruption, (6) corruption as a challenge to existing theories of management, and (7) the effect of corruption on foreign direct investment and trade. Cognitive Responses to Populist Communication

This chapter investigates the cognitive effects of different populist messages on blame attributions and stereotyping in the 15 countries participating in the study. It first gives an overview about whether respondents blamed politicians, the wealthy, immigrants, or ordinary people for the future economic decline described in the experimental stimulus. In addition, general stereotypical perceptions of those groups among respondents are presented. With respect to populist message effects, the analyses show that these were generally rather weak. El objetivo de este trabajo es indagar en el tratamiento periodístico que recibió la protesta en contra de la asignatura Educación para la Ciudadanía por parte de los dos diarios ideológicamente más próximos a los impulsores de la controversia. El análisis se centra entre los años 2004 y 2008, periodo durante el que el conflicto en torno a esta materia fue más intenso.
