A class of stochastic differential equations with non-Lipschitzian coefficients: pathwise uniqueness and no explosion

2003

Abstract A new result for the pathwise uniqueness of solutions of stochastic differential equations with non-Lipschitzian coefficients is established. Furthermore, we prove that the solution has no explosion under the growth ξlogξ. To cite this article: S. Fang, T. Zhang, C. R. Acad. Sci. Paris, Ser. I 337 (2003).

Set-valued stochastic integral equations driven by martingales

2012

Abstract We consider a notion of set-valued stochastic Lebesgue–Stieltjes trajectory integral and a notion of set-valued stochastic trajectory integral with respect to martingale. Then we use these integrals in a formulation of set-valued stochastic integral equations. The existence and uniqueness of the solution to such the equations is proven. As a generalization of set-valued case results we consider the fuzzy stochastic trajectory integrals and investigate the fuzzy stochastic integral equations driven by bounded variation processes and martingales.

Maximal Operators with Respect to the Numerical Range

2018

Let $\mathfrak{n}$ be a nonempty, proper, convex subset of $\mathbb{C}$. The $\mathfrak{n}$-maximal operators are defined as the operators having numerical ranges in $\mathfrak{n}$ and are maximal with this property. Typical examples of these are the maximal symmetric (or accretive or dissipative) operators, the associated to some sesquilinear forms (for instance, to closed sectorial forms), and the generators of some strongly continuous semi-groups of bounded operators. In this paper the $\mathfrak{n}$-maximal operators are studied and some characterizations of these in terms of the resolvent set are given.

Integrated initial and continuing training as a way of developing the professional agency of teachers and student teachers

2020

In this paper, we discuss training aimed at supporting the professional agency of teachers and student teachers. Drawing on socio-cultural and post-structural theories, we conceptualize professional agency as achieved by participation in professional practices. We employ our conceptualization in an analysis of a Finnish pilot training that combined initial and continuous training for preschool and primary school teachers. We argue that the practices of reflection and collective enquiry inherent in the model offer a fruitful starting point for further efforts to understand how to support the development of the professional agency of teachers and student teachers simultaneously. peerReviewed

Metastability and hysteresis of the vortex states in rotating superfluid3He-B

1996

We have investigated the vortex core transition in 3He-B by measuring the associated changes in mutual friction dissipation within the superfluid. If rotation is continuously stopped and restarted while cooling or warming then the transition occurs at a clearly defined temperature, but temperature sweeps during continuous rotation show substantial supercooling and superheating. Moreover, the high temperature vortex shows a continuum of metastable states when supercooled to a constant, arbitrary low temperature, the mutual friction dissipaton depending on the temperature at which rotation was started. Our current interpretation is that the high temperature vortex state is a temperature-depen…

Stochastic model for complex surface-reaction systems with application toNH3formation

1993

A stochastic model is introduced that is appropriate to describe surface-reaction systems. These reaction systems are well suited for the description via master equations using their Markovian behavior. In this representation an infinite chain of master equations for the distribution functions of the state of the surface, of pairs of surface sites, etc., arises. This hierarchy is truncated by a superposition approximation. The resulting lattice equations are solved in a small region which contains all of the structure-sensitive aspects and can be connected to continuous functions which represent the behavior of the system for large distances from a reference point. In the present paper, we …
