Observer-based control design for a class of nonlinear systems subject to unknown inputs: LMI approach

This paper deals with the problem of observer-based controller design for a class of nonlinear systems subject to unknown inputs. A novel method is presented to design a controller using estimated state variables which guarantees all the state variables of the closed-loop system converge to the vicinity of the origin and stay there forever. This is done via satisfying several sufficient conditions in terms of nonlinear matrix inequalities. In light of linear algebra, particularly matrix decompositions, the achieved conditions will be converted to a Linear Matrix Inequality (LMI) problem to facilitate the procedure of computing the observer and controller gains. Abstract Industrial robots are usually used for pick-and-place applications, which require only point-to-point motion control. Low-cost solutions for manipulation tasks in manufacturing systems: balancing costs and performances

Abstract Industrial robots are distinguished from other types of machinery mainly on the basis of their programmability and adaptability to different tasks. However, the cost s of the state of the art solutions for every system within their structure became very high compared with some applications. This work presents two proposed solutions of so called robotic manipulators, which may fulfil some of the manipulating tasks specific to industrial robots while using low-cost solutions of transmission, actuation and automation systems.

Researches Regarding the Use of Fuzzy Controllers within CNC Feed Drives

This paper presents some simulation based upon a dynamic model of a feed-drive within the structure of a CNC machine tool. A DC servomotor was considered as actuation device for the feed drive. For a given set of parameters for the position controller, two fuzzy types of fuzzy controllers were tested by means of simulation. The first fuzzy controller was a proportional one, with one input and one output, while the second one was a two variables one, with two inputs and one outputp.

An original control strategy of storage systems for the frequency stability of autonomous grids with renewable power generation

This work examines the operation of the autonomous power system of a geographical island assuming the integration of significant generation shares from renewable energy sources and the installation of the required storage systems. Design of temperature control system using conventional PID and Intelligent Fuzzy Logic controller

In this paper, we present the design of temperature control for industrial heat treating furnace by using Intelligent Fuzzy Logic and PID controllers. Temperature control is important in heating processes as it can disqualify materials in terms of their physical properties when not well performed. Obviously PID temperature controller is the most used in industries to control non-linear processes. Consequently, it has been found that the output response from Fuzzy Logic is very accurate in terms of overshoot and steady state error when compared to that of PID. Moreover, both temperature controllers are modeled and simulated using MATLAB software.

This paper presents an investigation and a comprehensive analysis on fault operations in a conventional three-phase voltage source inverter. A novel correction method for a low cost sensorless control system of IPMSM electrical drives

In this paper a novel correction method for sensorless Field Oriented Control System of Brushless internal Permanent Magnet Electrical Drives is introduced discussed and experimentally validated. The novelty of this control system is the estimation of rotor speed and angular position is based on the back electromotive force space vector determination, without the aid of voltage probes.
