High-Frequency Experimental Characterization and Modeling of Six Pack IGBTs Power Modules

2016

In this paper, a method to characterize the high-frequency (HF) behavior of six pack insulated gate bipolar transistors (IGBTs) power module (PM) is presented. The method is based on experimental measurements at the external pins of the device and it allows one to extract internal inductive and capacitive parasitic coupling without the knowledge of structural and physical parameters of the PM. The HF model of a six pack IGBTs PM has been developed, in the frequency range of 150 kHz-30 MHz, and it has been implemented in MATLAB environment. The method has been experimentally validated by comparing the frequency behavior of the PM with the simulated response. Moreover, the HF conducted distur…

An immune system model in discrete time based on the analogy with the central nervous system

1988

Jerne's model for the immune system formulated in terms of a neural network recently proposed by Weisbuch and Atlan is generalized to interactions with continuous coupling coefficients. It is shown that even the extended model can be solved analytically without the aid of computer simulations and exhibits one additional attractor, which corresponds to a configuration with high concentrations of active killer cells eventually causing death of the organism.

ChemInform Abstract: Cross-Dehydrogenative Couplings Between Indoles and β-Keto Esters: Ligand-Assisted Ligand Tautomerization and Dehydrogenation vi…

2014

Cross-dehydrogenative coupling reactions between β-ketoesters and electron-rich arenes, such as indoles, proceed with high regiochemical fidelity with a range of β-ketoesters and indoles. The mechanism of the reaction between a prototypical β-ketoester, ethyl 2-oxocyclopentanonecarboxylate, and N-methylindole has been studied experimentally by monitoring the temporal course of the reaction by (1)H NMR, kinetic isotope effect studies, and control experiments. DFT calculations have been carried out using a dispersion-corrected range-separated hybrid functional (ωB97X-D) to explore the basic elementary steps of the catalytic cycle. The experimental results indicate that the reaction proceeds v…

Synthesis of 7-Pentafluorophenyl-1H-indole: An Anion Receptor for Anion–π Interactions

2014

7-Pentafluorophenyl-1H-indole has the potential to be a key compound for the investigation of anion–π interactions in solution. Unfortunately, it was not possible to obtain it by aryl–aryl coupling reaction. Finally, it has been prepared by Bartoli indole synthesis. The key compound as well as analogues were submitted to preliminary studies of anion binding. Single crystals of two key receptors were obtained.
