Novel Iris Biometric Watermarking Based on Singular Value Decomposition and Discrete Cosine Transform

1055-7903; The goal of the current study was to determine if cuticular hydrocarbons could be used to empirically delimit taxa within the Cryptocercus punctulatus species complex in the eastern United States. Cockroaches were collected from rotting logs in 22 locations across four states. Hydrocarbon phenotypes and two mitochondrial (16S and COII) genes and one nuclear (ITS2) gene were independently analyzed to determine their relationship with chromosome number. Adoptive transfer of protective immunity from Cryptosporidium parvum-infected interferon-gamma and interleukin-12-deficient mice to naive recipients.

We investigated the possibility of transfer immunity from Cryptosporidium parvum-infected interferon-gamma (GKO) and interleukin-12p40 (IL-12KO) deficient C57BL/6 mice to naive mice by transfer of intraepithelial lymphocytes (IELs) and CD4(+) T cells from spleen and mesenteric lymph nodes (MLNs). Three days after the transfer recipients were infected with C. parvum. IELs isolated from GKO donor mice after resolution of infection (day 15) but not at the peak of infection (day 8) significantly reduced the parasite load in recipient mice. International audience; The entanglement quantum properties of a spin-1/2 Ising-Heisenberg model on a symmetrical diamond chain were analyzed. Due to the separable nature of the Ising-type exchange interactions between neighboring Heisenberg dimers, calculation of the entanglement can be performed exactly for each individual dimer. Pairwise thermal entanglement was studied in terms of the isotropic Ising-Heisenberg model and analytical expressions for the concurrence (as a measure of bipartite entanglement) were obtained. Nine yeast species belonging to genera Candida , Cryptococcus , Phaffomyces , Rhodotorula and Wickerhamomyces , and one species of Aureobasidium genus were isolated from the cloaca of migratory birds. Candida glabrata and C. inconspicua were the species most frequently isolated and Wickerhamomyces sylviae , which has recently been described as a new species isolated from bird cloaca, was again found. The majority of isolates showed the ability to grow up to 40 °C and/or at pH 3.0, two environmental conditions typical of the digestive tract of birds.
