El Cadastre imposat a Catalunya després de la derrota austriacista en la guerra de Successió comportà la realització de nombroses operacions de mesura de terres. Aquests treballs foren duts a terme per un petit cos d’agrimensors anomenats geòmetres del reial tribut del Cadastre. Entre 1727 i 1815 n’hem identificat un total de vint-i-dos geòmetres. La creació d’aquesta figura va fer visible una professió fins llavors força desdibuixada a Catalunya. The first synthesis of strapped cyclam porphyrins is described ; these will be studied as dioxygen carriers as well as cytochrome C oxidase models. The original derivatives are characterized by mass spectrometry and 1H NMR spectroscopy. The cofacial conformation of the two different macrocycles is confirmed by 1H NMR data.

International audience; Three white-rot basidiomycetes, Bjerkandera adusta, Ischnoderma benzoinum and Dichomitus squalens, were cultivated on a liquid medium supplemented with l-phenylalanine, a precursor for benzaldehyde (bitter almond aroma) and benzyl alcohol. Remarkable amounts of benzaldehyde (587 mg l−1) were found in cultures of B. adusta. Immobilization of this fungus on polyurethane foam cubes allowed an 8.3-fold increase of the production of benzaldehyde and a 15-fold increase of the productivity as compared with non-immobilized cells. The outcomes of the discussion in the four working sessions showed that although there is an urgent need to improve soil carbon management and stocks, and despite the existing knowledge about good agricultural practices to achieve this goal, these are not put into practice effectively and globally. The apparent contradiction has to do with a mismatch of policies at different societal and geographical scales, and the low policy profile of SOC.
