Influence of voluntary work intervention on the mood status of older volunteers

The aim of this study was to investigate the positive and depressive mood changes in older volunteers after a three-month voluntary work intervention through a one-group experimental research design. The participants were drawn from the Volunteering, access to Outdoor activities and Wellbeing in older people (VOW) project. Wprowadzenie: Przedstawiono przegląd literatury z zakresu stylów radzenia sobie ze stresem i motywacji do uczestnictwa w terapii w grupie kobiet i mężczyzn uzależnionych od alkoholu. Celem artykułu jest zaprezentowanie roli motywacji w wychowaniu i w sporcie, w kontekście traktowania motywacji jako zmiennej zależnej bądź zmiennej niezależnej w badaniach edukacyjnych. Motywacja może mieć wpływ na osiąganie pożądanych wyników w nauce i w sporcie. Możliwa jest jednak także sytuacja odwrotna: lepsze wyniki i osiągnięcia mogą zwiększać poziom motywacji do podejmowania dalszych wysiłków. Artykuł składa się z trzech części. Objetivo. Con el propósito de comprender el fenómeno de la desaparición forzada en personas mayores (mujeres) para visibilizar las consecuencias psicosociales que les ha generado y su manera de afrontarlo, este estudio se planteó bajo el enfoque mixto. Método. Por una parte, un estudio cualitativo en el que se realizaron 13 historias de vida a personas mayores (mujeres), familiares de víctimas de desaparición forzada. Concretamente, cuatro en México y nueve en Colombia, de tres sesiones cada una. La información fue triangulada por allegados de los familiares de las víctimas de desaparición forzada. The complexity of language learning may be expanded to learning the languages belonging to the same language family, for example, Slavic languages. This paper reports on the reflection-on action research aimed at the increase of learners’ multicultural competence and enhancement of critical thinking at the interdisciplinary, blended course of Slavic languages and cultures.
