The Calderón problem for the fractional Schrödinger equation

We show global uniqueness in an inverse problem for the fractional Schr\"odinger equation: an unknown potential in a bounded domain is uniquely determined by exterior measurements of solutions. We also show global uniqueness in the partial data problem where the measurements are taken in arbitrary open, possibly disjoint, subsets of the exterior. The results apply in any dimension $\geq 2$ and are based on a strong approximation property of the fractional equation that extends earlier work. This special feature of the nonlocal equation renders the analysis of related inverse problems radically different from the traditional Calder\'on problem.

Data Mining in general is the act of extracting interesting patterns and discovering non-trivial knowledge from a large amount of data. Medical data mining can be used to understand the events happened in the past, i.e. studying a patients vital signs to understand his complications and discover why he has died, or to predict the future by analyzing the events that had happened. Enthalpic and entropic contributions of water molecules to the functional T → R transition of human hemoglobin in solution

Generalized solvent-mediated forces contribute to free energy at the functional T → R transition of human hemoglobin A (HbA). Their contribution is here sorted out quantitatively in both its enthalpic and entropic parts, along with the average number of water molecules involved. The latter (about 75 waters in average) must be considered together with HbA as one statistically defined functional unit for oxygen transport. Their configurations are expected to undergo frequent structural rearrangements. Palermo off ers a repertoire of both artistic and architectural solid perspective of great beauty and in large quantity. This paper addresses the problem of the 3D survey of these works and their related study through the use of image-based modelling (IBM) techniques. We propose, as case studies, the use of IBM techniques inside the Cathedral of Palermo. Indeed, the church houses a huge and rich sculptural repertoire, dating back to 16th century, which constitutes a valid field of IBM techniques application. Three oleanane-type saponins, 3-O-β-d-glucopyranosylechinocystic acid 28-O-β-d-xylopyranosyl-(1→4)-[α-l-rhamnopyranosyl-(1→2)]-α-l-rhamnopyranosyl ester (1), 3-O-β-d-glucopyranosylechinocystic acid 28-O-α-l-arabinopyranosyl-(1→3)-β-d-xylopyranosyl-(1→4)-[α-l-rhamnopyranosyl-(1→2)]-α-l-rhamnopyranosyl ester (2), 3-O-β-d-glucopyranosylcaulophyllogenin 28-O-β-d-apiofuranosyl-(1→3)-β-d-xylopyranosyl-(1→4)-[β-d-apiofuranosyl-(1→3)]-α-l-rhamnopyranosyl-(1→2)-α-l-rhamnopyranosyl ester (3) were isolated from the whole plant of Arenaria montana. Their unusual structures for the Caryophyllaceae family were established mainly by 2D NMR techniques and mass spectrometry.

Abstract Novel diorganotin(IV) derivatives of l -Arginine (HArg), N α -( tert -Butoxycarbonyl)- l -Arginine (Boc–Arg–OH) and l -Ala- l -Arg (H 2 Ala–Arg), H 2 NC( NH)NH(CH 2 ) 3 CH(NHR′)CO 2 H, where R′ = H in HArg, R′ = C(O)OC(CH 3 ) 3 in Boc–Arg–OH, R′ = H 2 NCH(CH 3 )CO in H 2 Ala–Arg and triorganotin(IV) derivatives of Boc–Arg–OH have been synthesized and structurally characterized. The complexes were investigated by FT-IR and 119 Sn Mossbauer in the solid state and by 1 H, 13 C, 119 Sn and 1 H– 1 H COSY NMR spectroscopy, in solution. Argumentativeness and political participation: A cross-cultural analysis in the United States and Turkey

This study is an examination of the relationship between argumentativeness and political participation and the moderating effect of nationality on this relationship. Through a survey analysis of 801 individuals in the United States (592) and Turkey (209), the following was found: Americans are more argumentative than Turks, Turks participate more in politics than Americans, argumentativeness and political participation are not significantly correlated, and nationality does not significantly affect the relationship between argumentativeness and political participation.
