Integration of 3D modelling with photogrammetry applied on historical images for cultural heritage

The recovery of past architecture through 3D modelling is an important challenge today to the preservation of heritage. Decisive support for the interpretation of architecture can certainly come from historical images and old photographs that fix a portion of space at a specific time, keeping it unchanged over the years. This acquisition is decisive for studying architectures of the past that can be reinterpreted and analysed. Photos, in fact, capture the advance of time and the life of a building at a precise historical moment, becoming essential documents for the study and knowledge of heritage. Unexpected Behavior of Enaminones: Interesting New Routes to 1,6-Naphthyridines, 2-Oxopyrrolidines and Pyrano[4,3,2-de][1,6]naphthyridines

Reaction of enaminones 1a–d with 2-aminoprop-1-ene-1,1,3-tricarbonitrile (2) in the presence of AcOH/NH4OAc afforded 7-amino-5-oxo-5,6-dihydro-1,6-naphthyridine-8-carbonitrile derivatives 9a–d. On the other hand, 2-aminopyrano[4,3,2-de] [1,6]naphthyridine-3-carbonitriles 20a–c,e were the only obtained products from the reactions of 1a–d with 2 in the presence of AcOH/NaOAc, while 1d afforded [3,5-bis-(4-chloro-benzoyl)-phenyl]-(4-chloro-phenyl)-methanone 21 under the same condition. New tricyclic systems as photosensitizers towards triple negative breast cancer cells.

AbstractNineteen pyrrolo[1,2-h][1,7]naphthyridinones and pyrido[2,3-c]pyrrolo[1,2-a]azepinones were synthesized as new tricyclic systems in which the pyridine ring is annelated to the 6,7-dihydroindolizin-8(5H)-one and 5,6,7,8-tetrahydro-9H-pyrrole[1,2-a]azepine-9-one moieties to obtain potential photosensitizing agents. They were tested for their photoantiproliferative activity on a triple-negative breast cancer cell line, MDA-MB-231, in the dark and under UVA light (2.0 J/cm2). New Tripentone Analogs with Antiproliferative Activity

Tripentones represent an interesting class of compounds due to their significant cytotoxicity against different human tumor cells in the submicro-nanomolar range. New tripentone analogs, in which a pyridine moiety replaces the thiophene ring originating the fused azaindole system endowed with anticancer activity viz 8H-thieno[2,3-b]pyrrolizinones, were efficiently synthesized in four steps with fair overall yields (34–57%). Chemical Composition and antimicrobial activity of the essential oils from two species of Thimus growing wild in southern Italy

The volatile constituents of the aerial parts of two samples of Thymus longicaulis C. Presl, collected in Campania and in Sicily, and two samples of Thymus pulegioides L. from the same regions, were extracted by hydrodistillation and analyzed. Considering the four oils together, seventy-eight different compounds were identified: 57 for Thymus longicaulis from Sicily (91.1% of the total oil), 40 for Thymus longicaulis from Campania (91.5% of the oil), 39 for Thymus pulegioides from Sicily (92.5% of the oil) and 29 for Thymus pulegioides from Campania (90.1% of the oil). Proximate Composition and Nutritional Value of Three Macroalgae: Ascophyllum nodosum, Fucus vesiculosus and Bifurcaria bifurcata

Proximate composition (moisture, protein, lipid and ash content) and nutritional value (fatty acid, amino acid and mineral profile) of three macroalgae (Ascophyllum nodosum, Fucus vesiculosus and Bifurcaria bifurcate) were studied. Chemical composition was significantly (p &lt; 0.001) different among the three seaweeds. In this regard, the B. bifurcata presented the highest fat content (6.54% of dry matter); whereas, F. vesiculosus showed the highest protein level (12.99% dry matter). In this work, seven Citrus aurantium essential oils (EOs) derived from flavedo of cultivars &lsquo;Canaliculata&rsquo;, &lsquo;Consolei&rsquo;, &lsquo;Crispifolia&rsquo;, &lsquo;Fasciata&rsquo;, &lsquo;Foetifera&rsquo;, &lsquo;Listata&rsquo;, and &lsquo;Bizzaria&rsquo; were investigated. Drug resistance remains a major challenge in the treatment of cancer. The multiplicity of the drug resistance determinants raises the question about the optimal strategies to deal with them. Essential oils showed to inhibit the growth of different tumor cell types. Die Glucuronidbildung nach peroraler Belastung mit Acetanilid bei chronischer Hepatitis und Lebercirrhose

Je 12 Patienten mit laparoskopisch und histologisch gesicherter chronischer Hepatitis und Lebercirrhose erhielten peroral 800 bzw. 1200 mg Acetanilid. Als Kontrolle dienten altersmasig entsprechende Lebergesunde. 2, 6 und 24 Std nach der Belastung wurden das freie und das an Glucuronsaure gebundene N-acetyl-p-aminophenol im Serum und im 24 Std-Urin bestimmt. Auserdem wurde versucht, freies, unverandertes Acetanilid nachzuweisen. Im Urin wurde ferner die Konzentration des total konjugierten N-acetyl-p-aminphenols gemessen.
