Pētījuma mērķis – rast iespējas svešvalodu skolotājiem uzlabot mācību procesa organizāciju, tai skaitā palielinot iespējas pārraudzīt katra skolēna sekmes un piesaistīt pastāvīgu uzmanību mācību procesam. Pētījuma ietvaros darba autorei bija iespēja izmēģināt un salīdzināt trīs dažādas mācību vadības sistēmas svešvalodu mācību procesā, kas veicina skolēnu interesi mācību stundās, fokusējoties uz jauno vielu. Vienlaicīgi tiek atvieglots skolotāja uzdevums apkopot un analizēt pārbaudes darbu rezultātus, lai turpmākajā mācību vielas apguves procesā koncentrētos uz skolēnu vājākajām zināšnām. An earthquake warning system, or earthquake early warning system, is a system of accelerometers, seismometers, communication, computers, and alarms that is devised for notifying adjoining regions of a substantial earthquake while it is in progress. This is not the same as earthquake prediction, which is currently incapable of producing decisive event warnings. The implementation of efficient and computationally simple picking algorithm is necessary for this purpose, as well as automatic picking of seismic phases for seismic surveillance and routine earthquake location for fast hypocenter determination. Yersinia ruckeri, the causal agent of enteric redmouth (ERM) disease, was isolated from epizootics that occurred in different Spanish rainbow trout, Oncorhynchus mykiss (Walbaum), farms in which vaccination against ERM had been performed. In all episodes, the most pronounced clinical signs exhibited by affected fish were severe haemorrhages in the mouth, eyes and around the vent. The isolates were identified as Y. ruckeri serovar I by 16S rRNA sequencing together with serological tests. They lacked motility and lipase activity and thus belonged to biotype 2, and were highly virulent for juvenile rainbow trout, both by intraperitoneal injection (from 3.1 x 10(2) to 6.3 x 10(3) cfu per fish) …

The tanslation of Edmondo De Amicis works was undertaken in Spain by Hermenegildo Giner de los Ríos. This paper presents an analysis of the first edition of Cuore. Libro per I ragazzi (1886) and its first translation into Castillian, Corazón (Diario de un niño) (1887), in which we can see the frequent use of domesticating technique, with adaptations, omissions, amplifications and modulations. However, besides this, we can also perceive a strengthering of the text of by the translator, through a process that tries to readdress it to the new readers with a new literary efficiency.
Design-based estimation for geometric quantiles with application to outlier detection

Geometric quantiles are investigated using data collected from a complex survey. Geometric quantiles are an extension of univariate quantiles in a multivariate set-up that uses the geometry of multivariate data clouds. A very important application of geometric quantiles is the detection of outliers in multivariate data by means of quantile contours. A design-based estimator of geometric quantiles is constructed and used to compute quantile contours in order to detect outliers in both multivariate data and survey sampling set-ups.
