Thermal noise limit for ultra-high vacuum noncontact atomic force microscopy

The noise of the frequency-shift signal Δf in noncontact atomic force microscopy (NC-AFM) consists of cantilever thermal noise, tip–surface-interaction noise and instrumental noise from the detection and signal processing systems. We investigate how the displacement-noise spectral density dz at the input of the frequency demodulator propagates to the frequency-shift-noise spectral density dΔf at the demodulator output in dependence of cantilever properties and settings of the signal processing electronics in the limit of a negligible tip–surface interaction and a measurement under ultrahigh-vacuum conditions. Fascioliasis is a zoonotic parasitic disease caused by Fasciola hepatica and F. gigantica. Emergence of human fascioliasis prompted a worldwide control initiative including a pilot study in several countries. Given the necessity to characterize the fasciolid populations involved, the overall aim of the present research is, first, the phenotypic characterization of faciolid adults and eggs implicated in human endemic areas, where this initiative has been implemented, through a computer image analysis system (CIAS) applied on the basis of standardized measurements. Liga Niepodległości Polski utworzona w 1944 r. stała się polityczną reprezentacją piłsudczyków na emigracji. Przywódcą ruchu został znany dyplomata Juliusz Łukasiewicz. W 1950 r. na stanowisku prezesa zastąpił go Michał Grażyński, były wieloletni wojewoda śląski. Siedzibą władz naczelnych LNP był Londyn, gdzie piłsudczycy wydawali powielany biuletyn „Listy z Londynu”, a następnie czasopismo „Za Wolność i Niepodległość”. The article discusses part of the archival legacy of Ludwig Gruno prince of Hesse-Homburg. Born in 1705, he was one of the youngest sons of Frederick III James, Landgrave of Hesse-Homburg, and spent all his adult life in Russia. He got involved in the military career, achieving the highest military degree of field marshal, and in 1735, he became general feldcejchmajster and head of the Main Chancery of the Artillery, thus becoming the commander of the whole Russian artillery. He was many times rewarded for his services, both materially and with the most important Polish and Russian orders. Artykuł przedstawia tzw. metrykę nacji polskiej na Uniwersytecie Padewskim, przechowywaną w Archiwum Historycznym Uniwersytetu Padewskiego. Dwa tomy wpisów przedstawicieli Rzeczypospolitej Obojga Narodów, studiujących lub tylko przebywających w Padwie pomiędzy rokiem 1592 a 1745, określano dawniej m. in. jako Album, Codicilli, Liber Nationis, Liber Congregationis s. Aims To investigate women's childbirth experiences and their relation to self-esteem development in the postpartum year. Design A mixed methods study. Methods Women (N = 125) completed survey questionnaires regarding their self-esteem and childbirth experiences at three time points in 2020–2021: third trimester of pregnancy (T1), 4–8 weeks postpartum (T2) and 1 year postpartum (T3). The survey results were analysed using qualitative thematic and quantitative path analyses with latent change factors.
