La videovigilancia pública es una medida prevista en el futuro Código Procesal Penal español. Se pretende en éste trabajo analizar si está justificada la afectación de ciertos derechos y libertades de la persona a favor de la prevención del delito y la seguridad ciudadana a través de la misma; igualmente, si cumple los requisitos de proporcionalidad, idoneidad e indispensabilidad de nuestro sistema penal español tal y como está regulada; y finalmente si la videovigilancia pública contribuye efectivamente a prevenir la acción delictiva o no.

The control of the safety assessment of a dam is largely dependent on knowledge of the mechanical parameters of the actual construction, as well as its geological substratum. The application of geophysical methods can be used in existing dams to evaluate the materials (strength properties) and to verify if they match design expectations, as well as to contribute to the safety control. The essay focuses on the damage caused by the loss of the parental relationship and, in particular, its consequences from a compensation point of view. Taking as its starting point a recent ruling of the Corte di Cassazione, the paper highlights how, in the Italian legal system, this type of damage has different, and significant, consequences for the injured party. In the second part of the essay, it will be seen how, in the English legal system, the so called damage for bereavement has only recently been introduced in the Fatal Accident Act 1976 and how its consequences differ considerably from what happens in the Italian legal system.
