Este artículo trata señalar las dificultades a las que se enfrentan los candidatos cuando realizan el examen de inglés como lengua extranjera (TOEFL) basado en Internet. El objetivo es doble: por un lado ver cómo se puede sugerir cómo evitar problemas similares en plataformas que ya se están diseñando en España (Proyecto PAULEX, MEC HUM2007-66479-C02-01/FILO) y, por otro, poner de relieve el tipo de preparación que necesitan los estudiantes que realicen este examen para poder superar ciertos problemas estratégicos que actualmente encuentran dichos candidatos.

Abstract In this work, non-isothermal thermogravimetric studies have been carried out on several paracetamol formulations with the aim to predict their shelf-lives under variable storage conditions. Specifically, paracetamol tablets of different brands have been investigated allowing to estimate their pharmaceutical quality by considering the specific drug stability. We present 22 U-series ages for a stalagmite from north-western Cuba based on multi-collector inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (MC-ICPMS) and thermal ionisation mass spectrometry (TIMS). Our results reveal that the stalagmite continuously grew within the last ~1400a. Low uranium content of the sample and thus, extremely low 230Th concentrations limit the precision and accuracy of 230Th/U-dating by TIMS. Samples measured by MC-ICPMS show a high variability of 232Th content along the growth axis with some sections significantly affected by initial 230Th from a detrital phase. An a-priori bulk earth ratio for (238U/232Th) cannot be used to accurately account for this initial 230Th.…

Many in vitro studies have used cell cultures to focus on the relationships between cyclo-oxygenase-2 (COX-2) and inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) isoforms. We have investigated the time-course of regulation and the role of COX-2 and iNOS in a model of experimental inflammation in mice, the air pouch injected with zymosan. This study demonstrates that there is an early acute phase (4 h) mediated mainly by eicosanoids, with high levels of prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) produced by cyclo-oxygenase-1. To date, most studies have exclusively targeted neuronal populations and not considered neuron-glia crosstalk as a crucially important element for the integrity of stress-related brain function. Here, we have investigated the impact of ELS on a glial subpopulation with unique properties in brain homeostasis, the NG2+ cells. Genetic-neuroimaging paradigms could provide insights regarding the pathophysiology of bipolar disorder (BD). Nevertheless, findings have been inconsistent across studies. A systematic review of gene-imaging studies involving individuals with BD was conducted across electronic major databases from inception until January 9th, 2017. Method: In total, 144 mother-child dyads with ADHD were randomly assigned to either a maternal ADHD treatment (group psychotherapy and open methylphenidate medication, TG) or to a control treatment (individual counselling without psycho- or pharmacotherapy, CG). The cytokeratin filament network is intrinsically dynamic, continuously exchanging subunits over its entire surface, while conferring structural stability on epithelial cells. However, it is not known how cytokeratin filaments are remodeled in situations where the network is temporarily and spatially restricted. Using the tyrosine phosphatase inhibitor orthovanadate we observed rapid and reversible restructuring in living cells, which may provide the basis for such dynamics.
