Recent reports suggest that xanthine oxidase (XO), a modified form of the native xanthine dehydrogenase enzyme, plays an important role in various forms of ischemic and vascular injuries, inflammatory diseases, and chronic heart failure. International audience; The aim of this study was to investigate the action mechanism of linoleic acid hydroperoxides (HPOD), which are the major substrates of hydroperoxide lyase for the production of flavour compounds, on the yeast Yarrowia lipolytica by evaluating their effect on the oxidative state of the cells. Lai pētītu Zymomonas mobilis citohroma c peroksidāzes ietekmi uz celmu termiskā un oksidatīvā stresa noturību, izveidots plazmīdas konstrukts ar ccp gēnu. Ar to transformēts Zymomonas mobilis celms Zm6. Kultivējot jauniegūto celmu, izejas celmu un iepriekš izveidotus mutantus celmus ar inaktivētu citohroma c peroksidāzi un celmu ar inaktivētu katalāzi, salīdzināta celmu izturība oksidatīvā un termālā stresa apstākļos. Audzēšanas eksperimentos parādīts, ka pārbaudītajos mikroaerofīlajos apstākļos citohroma c peroksidāzes aizsargājošā funkcija nav tik izteikta kā aerobos apstākļos.
