[ES] En la segunda edición del DEBATMITAL, se ha vuelto a utilizar el debate como herramienta docente para abordar el tema de los Mitos en la Alimentación, en la asignatura optativa del Grado en Medicina de la Universitat de Valencia, “Alimentación y Dietética”. Como novedad respecto a la edición pasada, este curso se ha debatido sobre temas de actualidad acerca de la alimentación, sobre los que existe controversia real en la comunidad científica. Conditions of cultural citizenship: intersections of gender, race and age in public debates on family migration

This article analyses problem framings in public debates on family migration in Finland. The study focuses on the less-examined category of age and how it intersects with gender, race and religion. We examine the discursive context within which parliamentarians and the media negotiate questions of migration policies, belonging and citizenship. Our analysis identifies problem framings by combining frame analysis with the ‘What is the problem represented to be?’ approach, which understands policies as problematizations. Diplomdarba ietvaros tika aprobēta un izvērtēta debates metode vidusskolas mācīšanas procesā ģeogrāfijas priekšmeta ietvaros. Debates ir lietderīga un skolēniem saistoša alternatīva klasiskajām ģeogrāfijas stundām, kas dažādo mācību pieejas un stilus. Tika izstrādāti mācību stundu plāni debašu organizēšanai, kā arī tika izstrādāti palīgmateriāli, kurus var izmantot, lai iepazīstinātu skolēnus ar debates metodi. Diplomdarbā izklāstīta autora pieredze un apskatīta debašu ietekme uz skolēnu kritiskās domāšanas spējām un prasmi strādāt komandās.

The concept of bilingualism in Finnish political discourse is predominantly used in the meaning of official or state bilingualism, focussing on the two constitutionally defined ‘national languages’; i.e. Finnish and Swedish. Legally, both Finnish and Swedish speakers have a right for public services, such as schooling or health care, in their first language.
