Ever since the 1970s, performance artists have used their bodies as a means to question the patriarchal control of women. In Ireland, where the body is at the center of debates over contraception, abortion and divorce, feminist performance art has proved particularly pertinent to substitute the real experiential body to the allegorical or fetishized female body. Through her performances, Helena Walsh incites the viewers to respond to the effect of ideology on the physical body. Embodiment, impersonation and incorporation make the body explicit and reopen historical wounds.

Le trincee drenanti profonde rappresentano uno dei metodi più efficaci per la mitigazione del rischio da frana, in pendii con falda idrica. Esse sono realizzate mediante pannelli o pali secanti. Il riempimento è costituito di calcestruzzo poroso o materiale granulare. Se le trincee sono adeguatamente “innestate” nel terreno stabile e il materiale di riempimento ha sufficiente resistenza e rigidezza come il calcestruzzo poroso, si ha ulteriore in-cremento di resistenza a taglio per effetto shear keys, oltre a quello derivante dalla riduzione delle pressioni in-terstiziali. Oppilaidenennakkokäsityksiä ionisoivasta säteilystäselvitettiin kyselytutkimuksella, johon osallistui 197 yläkoululaista ja lukiolaista. Erot yläkoululaisten ja lukiolaisten vastausten välillä olivat vähäisiä. Vain joka toinen yläkoululainen tiesi olevansa tekemisissä ionisoivan säteilyn kanssa jatkuvasti. Yli 80 % oppilaista tiesi, että ionisoiva säteily ei muuta kohdetta radioaktiivisen säteilyn lähteeksi tai muuttaa erittäin harvoin. Hieman yli puolet tiesi, että ionisoivan säteilyn vaarallisuuteen vaikuttaa annoksen suuruus. Recent Progress in the WCLL Breeding Blanket Design for the DEMO Fusion Reactor

The water-cooled lithium-lead (PbLi) breeding blanket is one of the candidate systems considered for the implementation in the European Demonstration Power Plant (DEMO) nuclear fusion reactor. This concept employs PbLi liquid metal as tritium breeder and neutron multiplier, water pressurized at 15.5 MPa as the coolant, and EUROFER as the structural material. The current design is based on the single module segment approach and follows the requirements of the DEMO-2015 baseline design. Pickling is one of the key steps in the hot-dip galvanizing process, where HCl solutions are largely used to remove metal oxides from metallic surfaces, thus generating spent waste liquors containing high concentrations of metals and acid. Disposal of the industrial pickling waste dramatically affects the hot-dip galvanizing industry economics and environmental footprint. Thus, reducing strong acid waste disposal is one of the most beneficial steps to enhance the process sustainability.
